Silverstream Hotel
Such an awesome pub with loads of character, great staff and a really nice atmosphere. We rocked up here with a motorhome and the staff were really helpful and accommodating. We were able to power up for the night and enjoyed more than a few good pints and some excellent burgers and chips in front of the fire place. Awesome that it's dog friendly outside too. We'll be returning shortly to take advantage of the beer garden. Can't share any photos as the food disappeared too quickly. It's obvious why the locals all gather here.

What an absolute gem of a place, they were really busy with a quiz night but still managed to go out of their way to accomodate our group and the food was absolutely awesome. Great atmosphere, outstanding service and I can't wait to go back. Give you 6 stars if I could. Thanks so much for your hospitality.

After seeing some good reviews, we decided to try the place out for dinner. At near on $40 a meal, we expected some good quality meals. We were highly disappointed to say the least. Expensive and very basic pub meals.Chicken wings were overcooked and pork belly starter pitiful for $16.Broccoli salad was cooked, served hot with lettuce, not great. Salmon was just ok.Lamb dish had 5 very small pieces of lamb, overcooked and stuffed in a big lump of mashed potato. Potato served on top of half the lettuce which made lettuce hot and soggy.We waited a long time for starters, and mains were served just as we were finishing the starters.Dissapointed after seeing so many good reviews. Staff were friendly, but we won't be returning anytime soon for food unfortunately.

Omg. What a great food here to try. Pork belly bites n eye fillets n lamb rump are all highly recommended. It’s very family friendly even though it’s more like bar style with so much history to tell. Also superb customer service. If u have a chance to come, or just stop for a quick bite. U will fall in love this amazing restaurant.

I don’t know if it was just because our family was exhausted from a day of moving house across the South Island, but everything about this place just hit the right spot.Homely surroundings, friendly front of house staff, and really delicious no-fuss meals served promptly.Felt fully recharged after our stop at the Silverstream Hotel and Restaurant. Thanks so much guys!

Stayed here with the motorhome, was very obliging with power cord as we couldn't quite reach with ours, and they squeezed us in for a meal as they were very busy..meal was bloody good and staff very friendly great ole pub..

Stopped by the Silverstream Hotel a couple of weeks ago and glad I did! Fantastic meal, really nice atmosphere (beautiful beer garden!) and you can tell that the friendly owners and staff truely care about your experience. The place was buzzing with locals and travellers, but our order was served quickly.Excellent experience, will stop again on my next trip!
