I have used Kiwi House Inspections Christchurch twice now and have been impressed with their comprehensive reports and building knowledge. The inspector was polite and professional and the report outlined in detail some risk factors/areas that we were pleased to learn about the property we were buying.We recommend using this company.

Staff are friendly and knowledgable, very helpful to understand in detail whether there are potential problems and such. Will go the extra mile to explain stuff to you. I would recommend this company and would be happy to use them again. Their price is also very competitive. Very responsive even after hours. Big thumbs up!

I've been so impressed with Kiwi House Inspections. My pre-purchase inspection was organized immediately, and the report came through within 24 hours (even on a Saturday!). All of the staff I have dealt with have been exceptionally friendly, knowledgeable and professional. The report was clear and easy to understand, competitive, and the staff have gone over and above in explaining their report findings and recommendations. They are lightening fast, and have really gone the extra mile to help take some of the stress out of the home buying process. Highly recommended.

Engaged Kiwi House Inspections for independent review of water tightness (Poly cladding of 1999 era) and recommendations for current and future repairs and maintenance.What I received was an excellent report detailing dampness readings from a non-invasive capacitive probe showing photos of the place of measurement and the reading of the meter. This was accompanied by interpretation of the measurement highlighting any results outside normal.Recommendations for repair and maintenance were sound and will be implemented.A report well worth the cost and professionally done.Ian Wilton, Ilam, Christchurch.

I have had several property reports done in the last 12 months, as a seller and a buyer. Every inspection has been completed very thoroughly with the report sent through within 24 hours. I can highly recommend the quality of the service and reports. They also represent excellent value for the money.

Aaron was proactive when we needed a professional to compile a building report on a crunch timeline for pre-purchase negotiations and was also able to answer some of our key questions and highlight key issues and concerns regarding the dwelling in the building report.

Aaron’s pre purchase inspection was not detailed and missed a couple of things that I would have raised up with the vendor. He did not notice that the vents ( kitchen and bathroom extractor fans) were NOT connected to the outside.I would not recommend him for a pre purchase report and have seen far better reports. He does not have the buyer’s best interest at heart and is completing a tick box exercise. I was looking for someone experienced to tell me what’s wrong with the property but he was simply completing a tick box exercise.I have raised my problems with aaron and the problem was not resolved. I have then escalated this to the parent company with no further response.Update: To respond to the builder’s comment below about wanting an upgrade to the ducting.Thank you for telling me AFTER I have purchased the property, that my ventilation was not installed correctly and is not connected to the outside or ever designed to be. This is something I would have liked to know BEFORE I purchased the property.Note the ventilation outlets ( or lack there of) could be spotted from outside the house and did not require roof access to be inspected.I do not want an upgrade to the bathroom ventilation but would just want others to be be warned prior to engaging your service.
