I went there for a WOF, but they tried to rip me off and fix things that didn’t need fixing!! Luckily my dad is a car expert and told me to go to another place where I had no problems. Keep away to save your money!!

WORSE PLACE EVER!!!Backpackers and others, be very careful.Traveling with our self-contained van Toyota Hiace, we went to Mackle Motors to pass the WOF.After inspection, that cost 45$, the mechanic showed us a list of things that we have to change in the car if we want to pass the WOF.We had to change 2 brake pads, the ENTIRE door because of a bit of rust, 2 tires, the engine belt + 2 other things linked to it and fix a bumper.For a total price of 1800$!!!! 1800, yes.Knowing that our van was well maintained and we had no problem, we took the risk to pay another WOF somewhere else (in the Vehicle testing station => government place) to see if it was normal...They mentioned our tires. And that's it.So in the end, we paid in total 263$ (WOF + 2 new tires) instead of 1800$ asked by that THIEF.You are now warned that they are going to steal money from you, and not just a bit.If you have to pass the WOF, I definitely recommend you to go to the Vehicle testing station.There the people will not find random things to change because it will not change their salary.Mackle Motors, I never write bad reviews, but you deserve it.

These guys did a brilliant job fixing our heavy trailer. They went out of their way to exceed our expectations and came in right on budget.

After explicitly stating my budget for repairs I was shocked to find my budget had been exceeded. Sure they fixed the problem but they also carried out unauthorised work. As they had exceeded my budget I was unable to pay the full bill and they refused to take part payment or to release my vehicle. I will certainly never take my custom to these crooks again and will warn others to steer clear.
