Tunnel Terrace Walk

Great little fill in walk if you are limited for time (20min) and don't feel like climbing mountain tracks but still want to meander through some nice regenerating bush and check out some interesting old mine workings. Couple of tunnels to walk through although one was closed temporarily for repair when we went in April 2022.

Tunnel Terrace Walk. Lovely short walk if you like a couple of small tunnels and a short winding up and down rocky path.

Highly recommended short walk, we went while it was drizzling so quite magical. Take a torch for the first and last part of the trek. The middle cave looked to dangerous due to weather so we didnt risk going in for a closer look.

Closed for repair, need to walk around 5mins to another entrance. The track is very nice.

There is a detour past the shut tunnel, so it's still a lovely loop walk.

A nice enough walk with an interesting couple of tunnels, but perhaps not quite worth the side trip given the other walks in the area.The original tunnel by the car park is currently closed due to rock fall inside the tunnel. A sign directs you 50 m up the road - passed one other blocked tunnel - to the alternative trail head. This will be obvious when you get to it and starts with a boardwalk through a tunnel.Like most walks in the area, the winding path takes you through forest, occasionally on board walks, but with the added bonus of an extra tunnel which you can climb down into and walk along. It's 40-50 m long and opens into forest but with no where further to go, so head back through the same tunnel. A torch will help for this one as the floor is not even and very slippery clay.

One of the only walks in this region with tunnels to go through . Pretty cool, just note it drips a bit so you might want a rain jacket.

Fun to walk through. Tunnel one is shut though.

Didn't rate this walk. The first tunnel of the walk was closed due to rockfall damage danger. Nothing really amazing.... would recommend similar types instead....The Blue Spur walk or Woods Creek.

Interesting walk short tunnel at each end lots of stones used for track sides, retaining and even steps. Tail race tunnels. Small stream with trickle of water coming out of little Cave with dry stream over it would be interesting waterfall in rainy weather. Good track lots of stones. Entry opposite Carpark exit 100m down road from Carpark.
