Andy and Claire have created an awesome club that I’m stoked to be a part of. From the first visit they are welcoming and friendly and there’s a reason why people keep coming back. Andy and Ryan are both amazing coaches and the knowledge they have as well as their ability to teach has turned this club into a powerhouse in just a couple years. Excited to be a part of the clubs growth in the future and to see where it goes

Bucklands Beach BJJ waerevery welcoming when my 12 year old son first joined at the beginning of 2021. I have seen his confidence go through the roof and he is genunely excited to go to training any opportunity he can, so much so that he pulled out of club rugby to focus on BJJ. Andy and the team are great. My boy went from meek to confident in no time at all. I can’t remember the last time I heard him say he has no friends or someone bullied him. Not that he uses the bjj at school but the confidence alone is enough to make the difference.Andy and the team are really patient and make the kids feel they’re part of a family. Excellent place. We are very happy here. Very family friendly and good teachers. Owners are lovely and heaps of classes for children and adults. Would definitely recommend. Our son has grown in confidence and skills since joining and has made great friends.

What can I say about Andy and Bucklands Beach BJJ? One of the most welcoming clubs I have been too. Andy made me feel a part of the team instantly as I was provided with a gi to train in while I was there. The first few weeks were tough but Andy is a world class athlete with such a deep understanding of BJJ techniques that I ended up losing 11kg in 12 weeks. The students are all very good and extend the same hospitality as their teacher. Within 12 months of opening the club Andyhas produced some Regional and National Champions so if you are in Auckland do yourself a favor and check it out. Great for adults and kids as the club has a fantastic family culture. An easy 5 star review

I didn't really do many sports before I started training in BJJ with Andy, I didn't know what to expect but I was really interested in trying something different. At first it was very difficult, but then I started improving rapidly. I went to compete at a UK competition just to see what it would be like, but I somehow ended up getting double gold. This proved that Andy was the right coach to introduce me to it! Still training one and a half years later and I've never looked back. Appreciate the coaching.

Was recommended by a past coach to learn BJJ here and immediately walking in felt accepted and felt valued in my own way. Andy (owner and coach) and his family are amazing people to work with. The students are really nice people to train with also. Would recommend to anyone that is wanting to try out martial arts or get into a competitive level of BJJ. Classes are amazing and learn so many things from each class and the techniques get explained so well and Andy makes sure no one is left behind when training. Amazing club to learn
