Pegasus Rental Cars Auckland Airport

I have used Pegasus Rental Cars Dunedin three times now. Their service cannot be faulted. During my last trip to Dunedin I had to extend my car hire twice and Warren couldn't have made the process any easier. You are brilliant!

I would recommend Pegasus Car rentals at Auckland Airport, the prices to hire the vehicles is reasonable and also the insurance you pay. the Fleet is older but they are in great condition. The customer service is great I had a last minute car hire and within calling them they had sent my contract information etc to me with 10mins. Great Service and the pick up and drop of service is easy I would recommend Pegasus Car Rentals Auckland Airport.

I picked up the vehicle after hours and the exchange with the hotel next door was simple. I was on my way and happy with the car I received for my journey. The car was clean and tidy and ran well the whole time I was in New Zealand. Drop off was convenient and I was even given a lift back to the airport, what excellent service. I easily saved a few hundred dollars going with Pegasus, as they are the best priced rental car company near the Auckland airport. I highly recommend them for your next trip to New Zealand.

34 day hire ex Auckland from 28/05/2022Our flight arrived after close so we given instructions on how to collect the vehicle Park N Fly. The chap at the desk grunted ID" handed me an envelope an said your car is out there in that direction as if I was a hinderance to his afternoon 30 minutes later I found the vehicle and was able to start our holiday. I was not asked for any contact phone number as my Australian mobile did not roam and I purchased a NZ sim card for the trip. Fast forward to the end of the I must say a trouble free trip & drop off of the vehicle I was a day late but it was an honest mistake and was greeted with "Oh you are dropping of the day late vehicle" to which I promptly admitted was my fault and apologized. We were ushered away quickly to our accommodation that service was fantastic and the gent driving us was very friendly and helpful only 5 minutes away and by the time we got to our accommodation I received the new charge for the extra day that I offered to pay for at the counter but was told no we will charge the card on file…and also a “Smoking in vehicle fee” I promptly contacted the office and was gruffly brushed off and was told that several staff “out the back” had smelled smoke in the car. I feel as though they got rid of me so they could charge the fee. I am 58 years of age I have never smoked in my life my wife is a smoker but has never even smoked in our home or any cars that we have owned. I said the lady on the phone that they saw my wife get out of the vehicle when we arrived and lit a cigarette as she had not had a smoke since we left Tauranga that morning why would she smoke in the car when there is a decal on the dash. I have hired vehicles from Pegasus several time over the years due to the staff and service being fantastic but I do feel that in this hire I will no longer be a client and will definitely be advising all my travelling friends & family to steer clear if this is what they call customer service!"

Pegasus are extremely good value for money and service. Pick up from airport to their base. Less expensive than other rental places. Cars slightly older, don't expect new, but totally fine. This is the second time I have used them. Very happy with the little zippy Mazda Demi provided.

I recently visited NZ from Melbourne, Australia with my partner and hired a car from Pegasus Car Rentals. Drove to Taupo where my rental vehicle was stolen from my hotel accommodation. I informed Pegasus who left me high and dry with no replacement car or any offer of assistance, saying it was not their problem! What a disgusting way to treat their customers. Needless to say I’ll never be hiring from them again!

Pegasus Rental Cars Auckland was the best rental car agency I have ever dealt with. The customer service we received was fantastic. They were extremely helpful throughout, and I would recommend them to anyone looking to rent a car in New Zealand!! My wife and I have hired rental cars from Pegasus at both Dunedin and Auckland airports. This year we have used Auckland Airport Pegasus twice and will continue to use them. Online booking is straightforward, prices are very reasonable, and they have been prompt in collecting us and returning us to the terminals. The cars we have had have been clean, in very good condition, reliable and economical. I highly recommend this company for their service and and their vehicles!

I had an awful experience trying to book with Pegasus Rentals. After making a booking, and receiving the rental agreement, I read it thoroughly and discovered that I had not held my licence for over 5 years, which breached their agreement. I rang to check if there was any way to work around this. The person on the phone said it would be fine" and "not to worry". I insisted that I wanted a written acknowledgement of that fact and they said "just sort it out when you arrive". This was not an option to me

Rented a Toyota Corolla for a month. Rental process was smooth and efficient. Pick up and return were smooth and efficient. Shuttle to/from airport were, you guessed it, smooth and efficient. Car was clean and reliable. What more could I ask for?
