Awesome food and excellent value. We ordered a sushi platter on Saturday and it was stacked with delicious sushi - grilled prawn, grilled and fresh salmon, vegetarian, and chicken. It was a hit with everyone at the party we took it to. The owner called me to check we were happy with what we received as they'd gotten a bad review over the weekend, and I think the other reviewer must have mistaken the place they were reviewing - this is the second platter we've gotten from Sushimi Cafe and both were amazing. Beautifully presented and really generous (if anything I thought it was actually underpriced for what we got).

We were amazed by this secret gem when we went for lunch yesterday. The menu is varied and well priced and we had a selection of delicious food, the noodles were especially unique and delicious. They have bubble tea and specialty soda from Japan, the melon sodas were refreshing and come in cute glass bottles. The staff were friendly and the atmosphere was quiet and sweet. They go the extra mile with accessibility, they have vegan options, easy wheelchair and pram access, two areas of outdoor seating, toys and colouring and a sandpit, gender neutral bathrooms and a changing table. We were thoroughly impressed and we will definitely be visiting whenever we are on the kapiti coast.

The best Chicken Katsu ever ! small bowl of their chicken katsu enough for 2 of me really ! really delicious -just love this little cafe. Teenager of course loves the Bubble teas !

I love the sushi here! As I work nearby, if I had enough time I would buy this every day for lunch. A really nice range of sushi. Prawn, shrimp, a variety of chicken. They even have eel sushi sometimes!So often in other sushi places it is average and you can tell it is been sitting out all day. But I am never disappointed with the quality and selection here.I think the price is great too!If you like sushi or are even curious about it or had bad experience elsewhere before, then this is the place to try and you will be converted!

We ordered a platter and they were able to get it ready the same day. The platter was excellent, well presented and great value, they should probably charge a bit more for it. All the sushi was great quality and it wasn't a platter of mostly chicken and cucumber like you'd often get to cut costs.
