Terrible service and terrible job , I had my puffer jacket zip replaced and they have ripped the fabric with there unpicking and the zip is sewn in crooked, I tried to communicate with the woman but as she requires you to prepay she was really not interested. To busy chatting, would not recommend as now my zip works but is crooked and has a hole at the front, appallingly overpriced for the work done. Zip is not covered anymore either as you can see.and some pucker in the stitching.

Extremely happy with the complete service offered by Petone Tailors. Prompt reply to my email query, experienced assessment and analysis of what needed to be done to my jeans, accommodated my desire to alter the inner seem instead of the outer seam so I could maintain the selvedge denim edge, gave me a reasonable turn-around time and delivered as promised, offered extended service by suggesting my other jeans (which were used as a guide) could do with the same treatment, very fair pricing and very friendly approach. The jeans came back perfectly tailored and fit me better than I could have imagined. You feel so much better when your clothes fit well. So good to have a tailor you can trust to really look after you, I'll definitely be going back when I need to make any tailoring decisions!

My naive friend wanted to surprise me and got a dress stitched. It was nothing but a plain dress with no design, nothing fancy not even buttons or zip etc. they charged $260 without fabric costs. There was no lining. When asked they said more than $100 for that. The stitching itself was below average. I wouldn’t recommend their services. Total rip off !!!! I’d rather go a home based tailor in Maungaraki.

Very unprofessional got my pants taken up that were very expensive and it was a very rushed job blue chalk still left on them and not straight. The lady tried to charge me more than the actual price of taking pants up as advertised because I was young. But said my families previously been and was the price I should be paying. The lady wasn’t very helpful and didn’t make any suggestions she goes what do you want. I asked for the other leg to be pinned up and she said she didn’t need to do. Thought that was super lazy. Amongst all this loud conversations amongst workers and friends I think have come in. Super unprofessional and just poor job.

Dropped my dogs harness off after he chewed through one of the buckles. Cost me $20 and they did a great job in just a few hours. Went back to drop in a jacket with a bad zip and was a bit pricey so didn't go with them as the jacket wasn't worth the price of repair. Expect there's a lot more work in replacing a zip though. All in all really happy with their service and workmanship.

The tailor has amazing designs and is extremely good.I would highly recommend Petone tailors and I’ve had the best experience from this specific tailoring shop.

Dropped of 2 of my favourite tops that are very fine cotton. The 1st had a hole at the back, you wouldn't even know it was mended. The 2nd was pulling away from the bottom, what a amazing job.Highly recommend this place

Best and most capable tailer in the Hutt valley. I got the to do a duck-down and a Gore-Tex jacket for me.
