Was the perfect place for a birthday getaway. Was lovely to wake up to the noises of nature, have some adorable neighbours (3 cute alpacas), super close to Cape kidnappers golf course and a couple of our favourite wineries. We look forward to staying again sometime soon!

Beautifully furnished, clean, convenient amenities and even llamas in the backyard! Can bike to stunning wineries (our favourite was Elephant Hill, only 10 mins away on bike) and the hosts were so lovely and accommodating! Highly recommend and would come back to stay again :)

Such a beautiful spot! We stayed in Awa cottage and it was such a cosy and comfy spot. The split out bath area was amazing to relax in, and so close to t wineries etc too. Wish we’d been able to stay longer and rent the bikes and explore more. Thanks so much!

We had a lovely time at the cottage, very nice and romantic! Perfect for those who do not want to be in the busy part of town. Only thing would be to bring some bug spray! Other than that, there’s beautiful sun in the morning to have a warm coffee under and lovely shade for a nice dinner outside in the afternoon. Owners were very friendly and easy to contact too when we accidentally locked ourselves out!

Awa Cottage was bright, spotless, very comfortable and made for very relaxing stay. Annabel provided very clear directions to the cottage and instructions to get into the cottage. The kitchen was well equipped. The bedroom, bathroom and the pleasantly surprising bath with a view were truly enjoyable.Short pleasant walks to the beach and picturesque drives to the vineyards and the restaurants in Hastings and Havelock North highlighted our weeklong stay in Te Awanga. We highly recommend Te Awanga Cottage to anyone planning a trip to Hawke’s Bay.We will surely come back.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Moana Cottage. It is a lovely, bright, fully equipped modern cottage tucked away peacefully so you can relax and enjoy. The bed was super comfy, Annabel and Willie were really helpful and great at communication. We would definitely recommend these cottages as someone to get away to in Hastings. We enjoyed cycling from the cottage along the beach front, and then chilling at the end of the day on the deck with a glass of wine.

Everything so well thought out and comfortable, great coffee and loved the bath with a view over the garden. The hosts went above and beyond to meet our every need. An adorable cottage. Impeccably clean and well decorated. We especially enjoyed the bike rentals.

The large cottage was lovely and very well appointed. Was not lacking any amenities. Our weather wasn’t that warm so didn’t get to sit outside. The king size bed was so comfortable! I enjoyed a bath (both nights) in the separate bathroom. The bathing products were awesome. The cottages are a bit out of the way but such a great coffee place down the road. So you need to drive a bit to restaurants and wineries which we didn’t mind. There are bikes available to rent onsite.Overall this was one of our favourite places we stayed while in NZ. We loved the country feel but the modern look.Annabel had left fresh eggs which we cooked up for breakfast one am. Lovely!

We had such a nice stay here. We booked on Airbnb. The cottage was well kept and extremely clean. It had the basics of everything you could need, including laundry and some pots and pans. The bedroom has a half outdoor bath tub that overlooks the orchard. The cottage is pretty near the road, but faces away from it. And honestly it’s such a quiet road it doesn’t really matter.Abundant nature. Alpacas are just out the back door, and we saw rabbits and hedgehogs and more birds than we could count.Hosts were delightful. It’s a real nice relaxing spot in a quiet corner, with a quick drive to Napier and a bunch of wineries. Not to mention right by the Cape Kidnappers beach walk.
