⚠️⚠️ Disgusted in the way a staff member was treated & alienated I was standing in line waiting to be served by the manager wearing a black tshirt (alicia)I usually come to orewa subway twice a week as I work locally and im a familliar face . A young women staff member (chey name on badge) approached me asked which salads I would like politely and she was interrupted and told to leave by the manager it looked and sounded like the staff member was being bullied by the Manager as she came back twice and asked again which salads and sauces I would like after a while the staff member was interrupted and asked to leave the area in front of customers but she wasn't doing anything wrong. I then saw the Manager storm off and follow the staff member around leaving my order.while i was eating my sub instore I could hear what was happening in the store I seen the staff member come back into the front of the store and the Manager was continuing to Harass and follow her I wanted to stick up for the staff member as I noticed what was happening and other staff looked intimidated by the manager the Manager was being a bully and another staff member a young male looked at me and noticed my expression absolutely disgusted in the bullying culture happening at subway after I left I rang my wife and told her what had happend on the 30th June 2023 between 1:30 & 2:30 pm my wife then visited the store again on Friday the 14th of July and again she was absolutely disgusted in the way another staff member serving had lack of mannerism and patience while my wife was repeating her order over and over again at the checkout. I have left my name and number with the girl who was being bullied if anything arises from this as my wife waited outside . But I will not be back absolutely cancel culture ⛔️‼️

Second time staying at the cabins down the road and I had the same amazing service that I did the few times I had been in. Asking to change gloves for the gluten free wrap is something that no other store I have been to has asked.Friendly staff and yummy food, what more could you ask for :)

While chatting to a business associate while in this location the manager basically came up to me and told me to shut up. Now I have been told that my voice travels but never been told to shut up before. Very shocked. I'm not a 16 year old mucking around I'm a 34 year old trying to chat to businesses associate that I haven't seen since the recent floods. Your more than well come to have a quiet restaurant but that will mean no customers and no $$$

I recently visited Subway and was impressed with the overall experience. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable, helping me to create a custom sandwich to my exact specifications. I’ve been going to subway Orewa for years and their standards have never fallen short of impeccable! The owner Jules is friendly and frankly it’s great to see her on the floor with her staff, rather than just behind the scenes. Recently, there is one particular staff member that really stands out! She greets customers personally, prompts me with my likely (VERY specific I might add) order with a genuine smile. Forgive me if the spelling of her name isn’t right but Aleisha, you are worth your weight in gold and you genuinely make a usually quite mundane experience an actual pleasure.

Subway staff prompts customer to fight behind the counter!When ordering Subway, my partner always ask to have the Pizza Sub with onions and capsicum on the sandwich before it gets toasted as she prefers for these salads to be cooked. I've never had an issue with this and all previous Subway staff have been happy to do this. It’s also on the Subway website which states “your friendly Sandwich Artist™ will make your freshly made sandwich however you want it”.Today, when visiting the Orewa store, I was being served by a kind but albeit new staff member. When ordering on behalf of my partner, requesting onion and capsicum before it is toasted, another staff member (Chey) interrupted and denied the request. I explained that we have always done this, including several times at the Orewa store, to which Chey repeatedly answered we don't do that here". Chey was extremely rude by interrupting and handling the situation very bluntly. There was no smile or clear explanation at all the entire time from her.I continued to order my own sandwich while texting my partner what had happened - being denied a sandwich with cooked vegetables. The new staff member continued to serve me. I did not get a response from my partner until I was ready to pay
