The cleanliness of the rooms could definitely be improved, but this place is overall insane value. The bed was comfortable and warm, the private bathroom was everything you need, and while the tv was pretty old it has sky sport and sky movies and everything. Reception staff were very friendly and helpful and the free breakfast was very good. Some people seem to be complaining about cleanliness or dated rooms but for the insanely low price it just doesn't make sense to hold it against them.

Lovely room, bed fairly comfy. Nice bathroom etc. Window blinds need replacing, one had a huge water mark stain on it...

The breakfast coffee was good and the food tasty. The dining room was very clean and spacious. The kind reception host let me into my clean/made up room a few hours early which was wonderful. The bed was comfy and clean. However the room itself was v hot, (I had the fan going the whole time - thank goodness that was provided) as being 6 floors up the windows all had security locks. When I did open them there was a lot of street noise. Poor shower pressure (none), bathroom very tatty, no bath plug and shower curtain too short. Also the tv didn’t work, the walls were peeling and there is nothing on the walls to give any atmosphere or prettiness to it. You do get what you pay for and actually it wasn’t cheap either! This is a tired dated soul-less place with no decor at all. Reminded me of a bare uni hostel or run down hospital. Ok for a single night for one person but not recommended for anything else.

Past it's use by date but tariff does reflect this. Staff friendly, especial mention of receptionist who was very helpful and accommodating. Bed comfy with good linen. Shower over bath a real hazard to get in and out. Breakfast very good. Sterile environment e.g. nothing on walls or hallway furniture. Reception area looked closed up. Housekeeping was good.

Not a very pleasant stay, the rooms are very dated, bathroom was cramped and in need of repair, mould on window frame, no air conditioning. I wouldn’t go back, or recommend it to anyone. We booked for two nights but ended up shifting hotels.Admittedly, the price for a 2 night stay was cheap, but not worth it. Should have just paid a bit more initially!

Pros: it was clean, staff are great, breakfast good too. Wifi, tv, shower all worked well. Also they have a guest laundry.Cons: very noisy from traffic, quite a long walk to the harbour.

Room was definitely basic and quite dated but clean. Can tell that the rooms are pretty old and sometimes there would be a slightly musty smell when i first stepped in but not noticeable after awhile. Small TV, fridge and hot water flask was sufficient for me. Could probably do with a little more table space to put things though, but I managed.Staff was friendly and free buffet breakfast was great.A quick 10min bus ride from town so was easy to get home quickly after dinner/shopping, about 20mins walk to waterfront. Convenient location to get around Welly. When I complained of ongoing noise from 11pm-12.30am, the staff took action quickly and silence returned soon after. Wouldn't mind staying again.

We had a grabone deal so think we got basic rooms. Spotlessly clean and well serviced but very sparse. Memory st front desk was exceptional and all staff were very helpful. Good location but fair bit of traffic noise with ambulance and fire engines on occasions. Parking is tight but worth the Money. Breakfast was good

The rooms were nicely put together, however, it was very difficult for me to personally sleep here. The temperature inside was way too warm for the weather conditions along with poor ventilation making it stuffy and difficult to sleep. The beds and pillow were also too firm and the mini fridges are quite loud. The breakfast was pretty good and the staff were pleasant.
