Best fush n chups in Waikanae and the burgers are pretty good too. The couple who own are really lovely and the customer service is always excellent.

Wow, what a hidden gem! We usually go to Golden Nest takeaway for our fish and chips and have done so for years. Occasionally they aren't open and we're forced to try other local takeaway stores. (Usually disappointed - Golden Nest is hard to beat!) We've lived here for 13 years or so and i have to admit, i had no idea that Waikanae Beach Takeaways even existed! I just happened to come across them on Google and decided to give them a try. Super glad we did! They are right up there with regard to the quality and taste of the fish and chips. The only little gripe i would have is that their scoop of chips was a little on the smaller side, but other than that, we were very pleased. Definitely going back there again!

I love the way they andwer phone and deal with walk in customers when busy. plus they assemble pre-ordered burgers as you arrive. very thoughtful.
