Te Papa Tākaro o Tongaparaoa - Ila Park
A nice park with a barbecue and a small playground that is good for approx ages 0-8. Lots of green space for picnics and there is a paved walkway immediately adjacent to the park that runs from Ohauiti Road to Poike Road along the state highway. It’s well shielded from the road (although a lot of traffic noise) and well used, so a good place for walking or cycling with kids or alone.

Nice enough area despite being right by a busy highway. Has a bbq and a couple of picnic tables. A small play area and lots of trees for shade on the outskirts. Does need a public toilet and would benefit with more playground apparatuses. Perhaps a skate bowl too.

Freshly renovated with a new playground, toilets. Equipped with a dual burner electric BBQ and multiple drinking fountains. New playground has a dual flying fox which looks really popular!

Not gonna lie.. would be awesome if it was bigger. Neat park considering the amount of 10 year olds that swear like a sailor there. But my 6 year old even agrees it's kind of boring there"."
