Lovely restaurant. Staff are super nice and the atmosphere was great! It's cozy and comfortable on a winters evening. Food was delicious!

Thai Delight Restaurant Taupo
Best restaurant we've been to in NZ. My husband and I simply love their food. And we cannot say enough about the hospitality of the hosts. We always stop here for dinner or lunch every time we're in Taupo.Last time we tried the crab meat fried rice and soft shell crab- Amazing! We also never miss their prawn cakes. So yum! Can't wait to go again.

Really bad customer service. We ask spicy sauce the waiter refused us. And we asked the spicy sauce again a lady finally bought the sauce for us.The chicken noodle also tooooooo saltyyy, you can see there is a loooot soy sauce underneath.

The ambiance was nice and pleasant but some things we weren’t as impressed of was the food. The food tasted great but could’ve surpassed our expectation better, compared to other restaurants. We had ordered a vegan dish that included tofu but they had removed it even though it was a vegan item. Perhaps there may have been a miscommunication but we expected a lot more.

I came to eat at Thai Delight with family and it was an absolutely magnificent experience. The folks working there were extremely kind and attentive. We were unfortunately in a hurry, but they came out with the food super quickly, and we left with time to spare to reach our next destination. The food was truly delicious, some of the best Thai food I’ve had! We ordered the spring rolls, red curry with prawns, ginger chicken, and pad thai. The space was immaculate, and the walls were adorned with beautiful sculptures, paintings and plants. It is easy to tell how much love the folks at Thai Delight put into their restaurant. We highly recommend eating here! Much love and gratitude to the folks who served us today.

Thai Delight Restaurant Taupo
Authentic and exotic Thai cuisine in the heart of Taupo. Decent portions with decent prices. Enigmatic atmosphere made me feel like dining in a floral garden. Big, bold and beautiful flavors of Thailand. Very flavorful and memorable. Not to forget kid friendly as well. Really enjoyed our stop here for lunch. Would love to do it again!
