1. The store was closed for a lunch break, despite having 3+ staff around - something that was not shown on any Maps or website listings. This is something that should definitely be noted online so that customers know not to make a trip in when the shop is closed.2. Customer service was very average - they made me contact their online sales team while I was in-store to change an order, and only when my call wasn't picked up did they actually try to make the changes themselves. We eventually got there, but it should have been a lot more efficient.Otherwise it seems like a fine place, heaps of stock and knowledgeable staff. Usually have a great and easy experience in other Rockshop branches.

I passed the store in my car yesterday. It reminded me of my bad experience several years ago (probably in 2016). I bought an expensive violin case (well over $100) from the store. The shoulder strap was broken within one week. After a careful check, I found that one pair of snap fasteners was both male. So the case could not be closed properly. I returned to the shop with the case a few days later. The shop assistant instructed me to contact the manufacturer by myself and said it was not their problem. I sent an email to ask for the manufacturer's address but received no reply. I decided not to step into this store all my life.

Best purchase experience ever. I did a lot of research about what digital piano to buy and decided to get a Kawai ES110 but I wanted to check it in person and try the keys.They didn’t have one in display so the girl that was helping me and the guy, opened it for me so I can try it. Both of them a 10 stars service!.They were really helpful and I’m really happy with the service and the product. Will absolutely go to this shop every time I need to purchase something.

Highly unprofessional manager, lacks basic manners and courtesy and is highly rude and disrespectful. It’s shameful because the rest of the staff is so nice and knowledgeable. Reading other comments it appears his ill treatment is specifically directed towards non European. NZ is a great country and this behaviour is ugly and totally unacceptable.

19th January, 2023. I went to the Epsom branch today with my daughter to look at pianos around 2PM. We are looking for an upgrade to our existing piano but I haven't decided on getting a digital or an acoustic. KBB Music has a vast range of digital and acoustic pianos, which I am grateful we were allowed to test. I recently rented a piano from KBB Music, but unfortunately, my experience fell short of the expectations that were set by the staff. While the piano itself was in decent condition, I was disappointed to learn that the rental fee did not contribute towards the purchase of a new instrument to the extent that I had initially been told by the staff.To make matters worse, when I called to confirm the details of my rental plan, I was given incorrect information. The day before I went to the store, I was misled by the staff yet again, which only added to my frustration and disappointment.Overall, I cannot recommend KBB Music for instrument rentals if you're considering a potential purchase. Their policies around rental fees and purchases, along with the inconsistent and incorrect information provided by their staff, left me feeling uncertain about their commitment to their customers. If you're looking for a company that values transparency and flexibility in their rental and purchasing policies, I suggest looking elsewhere.
