Michael Hill Botany Town Centre

Customer service when it comes to returning faulty products deemed as faulty by Michael Hill has been absolutely shocking. They have a 30 day return policy it has been 4 months and our return is still dragging on.To many policy’s and processed are getting in the way of what really matters in these situations which is the customer service aspect.I would definitely not recommend purchasing any large ticket items as the after sale service doesn’t align with the price tag. They are great when selling you items but lack the follow up experience.This being said I am awaiting a resolution and will update after we reach an outcome.

Just got my 100m Water resistant watch home from Michael Hill as battery was changed by them for the second time ( first time 4 months earlier by M.H the movement was stopping infrequently after change), and heard a dull clunking sound as I was opening clasp to put on my wrist.... so turned it over and found back cover was loose, I unscrewed it by hand! If I had worn in shower it would have been ruined in minutes. What kind of amateur repair shop are they outsourcing the repairs to?? Now a special trip back and will post their response here. If a nationwide jeweller gets a battery replacement wrong twice in a row, what does that tell you about their 'quality' ethos....

I received a present for my bday bought from Michael Hill Botany, the person who assisted my mums bf is a lady named Elaine. On the day of my bday i opened it and didnt like it so I went New Market try exchange it, the present is only 5 day old from purchase, they dont have problem when I am paying more but if the item I like is less than the purchase price of $1849 they wont do difference on refund but instead they want me to get voucher credit, Asim Manager from New Market name Asim was very unhelpful and told me to go Botany branch and they can refund it. I called the branch and spoke to Elaine - she said we can get difference on refund as long we bought the replacement ring there and to have my mums bf with me and bring same card used. I said no prob- we went there Wednesday 10/8/22 and Elaine was not there, so a lady name Jailu Z assisted us, despite explaining the situation and saying I already have spoken to Elaine sha said no and together with her senior . To make story short- what has been promise was not done altho it is my right as a customer and was within 30 day period. It has been only 5 days.We end up getting a ring similar to purchase price as they are being difficult. But to our surprised the autenticity certificate cant be change to my name, altho my bf mum before buying it said it is a present. Should have been told in beggining that cant be cHange name on cert so it was put in my name.our time and effort was wasted. Will never come back. Worst customer experience. I hope management cAn do something.

Micheal Hill has been a big disappointment in terms of their service and after care they provide. My fiancé bought an engagement ring recently and was sold the life time warranty package. The sales person recommended it saying that the ring can be traded in and exchanged at any time as the gold doesn’t go down in value and also said that the re-sizing can be done at any of the branches. He proposed after more than a month of buying the ring as he was under the impression that it won’t be a problem. We have tried to exchange and trade in the ring, but because more than 30 days passed we were refused to do that unless we buy a ring that 3x the price. None of this was mentioned to him while he was making his decision which feels extremely unfair as he got convinced to pay extra and was given misleading information. I was even refused resizing the ring at the Westgate branch and asked to go to Botany store and ask again…All this extra effort and stress and all I’m left with is a ring that doesn’t even fit. Super disappointing!!!

Went in this afternoon to return a watch that I had purchased for my partners birthday. I showed my partner the watch and he did not like it and came in for a refund. The staff appeared to be angry and disappointed in me wanting to get a refund and this resulted in my receiving poor customer service from the staff member who just seemed angry with me. I was extremely disappointed as when I was purchasing the watch the same staff member was very friendly and approachable, after today it just felt like she wanted the money.

Literally the worst Michael Hill experience I’ve ever had. Walked into a store with 5 staff and 0 customers - no greeting, no smiles. One was on her phone. Had to physically walk up to the closest staff member to even be helped. Please take notes from the Newmarket store, this 1 minute interaction was enough to put me off forever.

Sadly I had my jewelry stolen so hubbie and I recently went shopping for replacement items. We covered a LOT of jewelry shops in East Auckland and found nothing to our liking, and at times customer service was lacking. But the moment we walked into Michael Hill at Botany there was a great vibe - and having the security guard at the door gave us some reassurance too in this day and age.Nakul was friendly and so polite, and listened to our needs. Nakul and Ankie then steered us in the right direction and the lady assistant was also very helpful. Unfortunately I don't have her name. All 3 were listening to my wants and found exactly the perfect ring for my finger. In fact I ended up with two rings as they came as a set, and I also bought a gorgeous 'dancing diamond' pendant they showed me. Whilst processing the payment we were offered a coffee, although we declined.Nakul also gave the ring I was wearing a clean and that came up like new. I felt like a star, and now I have some bright ones on my finger which I can proudly say I bought from Michael Hill.Thank you Nakul, Ankie and the lovely lady for making our shopping experience the best ever.

Very nice service and friendly staff. I love going there. The staff knows what they are talking about and gives right advice and full information. Love shopping there for jewelry
