Coastwood Furniture
We purchased a Coastwood Sleepneat single bed with 2 drawers on 1 August 2022, paying $1529 + $135 freight (via Best Furniture Christchurch). The bed arrived with freight damage (exterior of a drawer scratched/dented) as well as defects in manufacturing (corner panels broken/split through poor workmanship and/or defective product design). When I reported this to the retailer/supplier, they offered to have the scratch/dent repaired" (probably wood filler and paint) but insisted that there was no damage / defects (despite the photos being provided). While on a road trip in September, we called into Coastwood and took the opportunity to discuss with Andrew Hill (Sales & Marketing Director) a problem we had in finding a ready-made entertainment unit that would suit our needs (and lounge-room). We provided some measurements and 'wants' and within 4 hours we were emailed a design concept and price. It didn't take us long to decide that this bespoke piece of furniture was exactly what we wanted. Seven weeks later, it's here c/- the fine people at United Movers. We couldn't be happier - many thanks to Tara for knitting it all together.

Our new Lingerie Drawers arrived this morning. We are absolutely thrilled with them, thank you. All the more special that they were made in NZ. The only thing that could have made them better would have been if they had come wrapped in the Greymouth Star! Although it does look like you had made an effort to minimise plastic packaging.

Great Company to deal with and Tara was fabulous. I received excellent communication and bed was delivered hassle free. Bed is well constructed and easy to set up. I will certainly be looking at purchasing again from Coastwood Furniture.

Fantastic service, high quality workmanship and excellent communication (thanks Tara!). Coastwood were great in terms of constructing a custom designed drop leaf dinning table for us. The finished product was exactly as specified including a number of custom dimensions and some real challenges given the scale. The table was carefully packed and arrived in perfect condition. Very happy with finished product. Would highly recommend this company for your furniture needs.

Our bed came and it was missing the instructions and installation pack (Which wasn't their fault). We called them up and they sent it via overnight courier. The courier company had lost it for a while and Coastwood was even going to send another one just in case.They rang me and gave me constant updates, their customer service experience was one of the best I've had!The furniture was great quality and we couldn't be happier. I saw the 1 star review by a previous user but if anything like that happens (They aren't a courier company) just call them up and they will help you straight away!

We have just received our second custom order from Coastwood. A couple of years ago we had kitchen shelves made to match our dining room table, gorgeous. Now we have just received a made to measure tallboy and two bedside tables. Great friendly communication and beautiful craftmanship. Thank you.

We had a bookshelf custom made by these guys and the quality and build is just lovely. Would absolutely recommend to anyone looking to buy nice quality furniture at a reasonable price. Such great customer service, fast to respond to queries and the delivery guys were great as well.
