Karamea Holiday Park
The owners are super lovely and helpful with anything you need. Being allowed dogs there was a drawcard for us and our dogs had a great time, as did our kids. The facilities are clean and the whole place has a great feel.

This place is awsome. It is basic but very affordable, always tidy and with great relaxed atmosphere. Big sites and comfortable cabins. Lovely view of the inlet from the tiny beach behind the camp. We've stayed there multiple times! And Karamea is one of those hidden gems! Truly unique

Very clean and tidy, fantastic hosts and a super positive New Zealand camping experience at a camp ground with values from the past most camp grounds have long forgotten! It is a very peaceful quiet experience, and with all the amenities one can expect. It was soooo nice to be treated as adults and not be bombarded with Don't Do This" notices plastered all over the kitchen and laundries like other camps have. These awesome hosts deserve every success they clearly work so hard for."

There are privately owned Holiday Parks of various descriptions and then there is the gem that is Karamea Holiday Park, recently taken over by its new owners.It is being substantially revised and the new owners have wonderful plans for the future, but they already know that attention to detail is the secret to success. They make time to interact with clients, the cleanliness of facilities is excellent, and the location is wonderful. If you want to appreciate the environment then Karamea is for you.

Stayed two nights there back in March last year. Really friendly owners. Friendly Wekas......Nice quiet camp right away from hustle and bustle. Will be back at some stage and will stay longer. Loved it.

Awesome place. After I made a booking error the owner, Ian, went above and beyond to help and get cabins ready for us - saved our holiday. Comfy new mattresses and bedding. Clean and comfortable.Camp is idyllic -huge, mature trees, lots of well-shaded tent sites. Short stroll down to a beautiful estuary. Safe and gorgeous water for play and kids' swimming. Would 100% recommend staying here!

Great place. $20 a nite 4 camping site. Lounge T.V. Kitchen,all great. Toilets, Dorm beds. And large park, with exspansive views. Karamea is becoming a Tourist destination.

A nice spot. Clean. But the cabins and bathrooms are very run down and dated. Very little, including the mattresses, seems to have changed since it was built in the 50s. With a well overdue upgrade, this would be a nice place

Beautiful park - in a very beautiful part of NZ. One of our few 'deadends' - always the best places if you make the effort. Very good management - if you can get the manager talking - he knows more about the west coast than anyone else i have met there. But on the market now I hear.

We had a short but pleasant time at you're camping, it's older but in a god and cozy way! Everything worked and fitted us perfectly. We hope you strive, New Zealand needs theese calm and well maintained spots
