For a medical centre,Barbara, the receptionist is so rude!!! I have never encountered THIS type behavior ever at any medical facility. She does not allow you to speak or finish your sentance before she just carries on and speaks over you. Are receptionists not supposed have good people and listening skills?

Revised downwards. Getting worse. Absolutely no real interest from these people in sorting their nonsense. Patient since 2004 and the service used to be great. However, ever since Dr Hawkins had to leave, this has deteriorated considerably and rapidly.Employing a practice manager does nothing if a patient is still unable to see a doctor.

Can never get hold off anyone. When you do you are put on hold or it cuts you off to say knowone is available. Very hard to make appointments. Not like it used to be. Not a family practice anymore

Rang up three weeks ago (half an hour wait on the phone just to get through) for a medical procedure. Walked in and said my name and reason for the appointment, just to be told that there was no appointment and I had made a mistake. I organised this appointment for this day as it is the only week day I could take off for a long while. Very disappointed in the service and how I was treated. The nurse told me it wasn’t urgent and spoke down to me. It’s not urgent but that’s not the point. Not the first time I have been let down by the reception staff making mistakes.

Service here has gone rock bottom over last 18 months under the new ownership. I don't ever review anything but I feel this might be the only thing the new management at Tamatea Medical center might take note of, as I have complained in the past. Just basically pathetic service on numerus occasions over the phone, takes an absolute age for the phone to be answered and then made feel like your taking up there time by trying to book appts for someone in my family etc. often cant get your own doctor without a 2 week wait, Have turned up for appts with my 2 year old daughter to be told your name is not in the system even though is what you had been given by the receptionist, to now been given an appt for a day, date and time and then look in calendar to see that the 25th Jan is not on a Wednesday but a Tuesday, now will have to ring again and wait for 20 minutes to get through and confirm if its Tuesday 25th or Wednesday 26th. The new system they use here is just not working and i know many other patients feel the same that i have spoken too, hopefully the manager might ring me to get some of this feedback, if this was my business. I'd be appalled about how the service has gone from the penthouse standard back 3 years ago to the bottom of the pit" standard it is now."

Had 9.15 appt with the nurse and stood by the back entry, rang the bell twice and waited 11 minutes in the hot sun. The back door was open and they (nurses I assume) could see I was waiting, no greeting, no anything but just left there standing in the sun. Finally I got someone and was asked how can I help you ??? blood test I said and was promptly told to make my way to the front waiting area omg - no instructions on back door or back wall??? I would have gone there in the first instant had I known.. Slack and unfriendly service since take over ...

I have been on the phone all morning trying to get through to a receptionist. All I need is a repeat script.Start at position 4 in the que, 20 minutes later get to position 1 then a message comes on .Your call is important to us Blah blah blah Please hang up and call again in ten minutes. and still the same rubbish. This medical practice has gone backwards since the new ownership. I have been a patient ever since this practice started but seriously thinking of changing. Thank you Tamatea Medical Centre for reading my review and calling to see if I had managed to get through which I hadn't . I called back on the number they called from which was different to the normal number and got straight through. Script sorted but that dose not help all the people who have been trying all day. Very frustrating

Terrible service for last 2 years or so. You ask for a call back and lucky if you get call that day. My husband hd a heart attack in Dec. Didn't even try ringing as knew no reply. Went to Wellesly Rd. This practice is shocking.

Positive experience with one of the nurses, but none of the others. David rarely available and Hamish appears overwhelmed by anything and everything. Now in the process of considering the formal complaint process instead. That is if Practice Manager, Wayne, can be bothered responding. Stephanie (junior receptionist?) should carry a plant with her at all times to replace the oxygen she wastes.
