I had a wonderful shopping experience. Steph was honest and helpful...gave me amazing styling tips and I felt very comfortable and no pressure from her. Very unique items of clothing that are hard to find on the North Shore. Would hesitate to recommend Painted Bird.

It has taken me some time to find genuine vintage clothes of good quality. Many advertise as 'vintage' but they are not. Steph has a good eye for style AND quality. The latter is also important. I have purchased some absolute crackers from this site with no regrets at all. I get many compliments. At present I have no photos because I don't have anyone to take them, and I don't do selfies.

To all fashion birdies – Steph’s set up at The Aviary will make your heart sing with delight! The new premises are small but adequate for a delightful one-on-one session with Steph, her delightful sense of humour and fabulous sense of non-nonsense fashion advice. The rack of goodies was wheeled out and a personalised review service provided with each garment change. My advice – take a photo of yourself in each garment for future reference if you are just testing the waters . Also take any shoes, other clothes you want to co-ordinate with, accessories you love to wear – don’t get caught short with flat shoes and socks trying on a delicious dress!
