Having seen the previous review I was a little nervous going in for a haircut, which I discovered after paying online (via GrabOne special) and booking over the phone. The phone experience was okay, but I was really impressed with the haircut itself and the customer service once I entered the store. It was a young women who cut my hair and she had been working for the business for about 7 years (long enough I thought to gage whether or not the business was truly a nice place to work). She was friendly and knowledgeable and gave me the best haircut I've had in awhile.

My husband only goes here now. Really great service and quality cuts. You really notice the difference between his hair from this place and the cheap crappy cuts he used to get. There's often deals on their website and it's a reasonable price.I also love the women's side. They've got great staff, great dyes, and really nice products but they don't shove them down your throat. If you book in as an earlybird" (like before 11 early in the week) you get massive discounts. They also really look after you and give you a cuppa and a treat while your dye is setting. I'd bring in my baby in her pushchair too and they are really accomodating. Definitely give them a chance :) again try the website for deals!!"

My barber is great. One thing I dislike is that I am always on time but they are not which is ok since it is only 5 or 10 minutes Max that I have to wait. What annoys me is that 5 minutes into my session, every time without exception, the front desk lady enters and tells my barber that the next client is there. This makes me feel like my job will be rushed. This salon is premium. I pay here $37.5 vs $15 I used to pay at previous place. I am not concerned with price, I seek service and the above described detracts from premium. Hence 4 instead of 5 stars.

It was a terrible experienced! !I got my eyebrow wax done yesterday and the therapist almost burned my eyelids.I can tell that the therapist dont have a training that she needed.I wont recommend this place

Charged full haircut price ($39.90) for a less than 10 minute clipper cut. Rip-off! Queried it and they still said that it'd be full price. No wonder they're queueing out the door at the barbers round the corner on a Saturday, while this place is dead

These guys are as good as it gets. Very professional atmosphere the booking process is very simple for guys and really good value. I haven't had one haircut I haven't liked since getting my first a couple years ago. Ive had around 10 haircuts and every single time its exactly what I want and looks perfect. Cant fault a thing.

Me and my boyfriend were both getting cuts at the same time. We walked up and asked for a haircut and he immediately picked up the phone right in front of us while we just stood there. That's hospitality 101. Serve the customer before the person calling. We waited for ages and when I finally got seen the water smelled so bad they had the put perfume in my hair to cover it. Gross!

My son has been getting haircuts from VJ Barbers for about 4 years now, we first bought off Treat me and have been going back since then as they do the best haircuts we have had from any hairdresser, Lucy is amazing, and Goku is awesome too they are really good at what they do no matter which staff member. What I really love is the fact that they remember you even if you haven't been back for a while. Great customer service and quality.

This is my regular. I always ask for Gokul but the other guys great too. Have never been disappointed with any of my haircuts (I always ask for the classic men's cut which is $36).

Very happy with my haircuts from Gokul while I have been in New Zealand.
