St Joseph's School (Orakei)
Having attended St Joseph's when I was a child I was excited to send my daughters there, and it is great to see them thrive and enjoying the school, its fabulous grounds and facilities as much as I did. One of the standouts of St. Joseph's is its strong sense of community. Parents are highly involved in the school, and there is a strong sense of collaboration and support among the staff, students, and families.

This is a fantastic little school. The school is in a unique position, having a small roll and small class sizes, to support each individual child. Learning is a priority, but so is happiness and kindness. I've been surprised how many opportunities are available to the kids (for such a small school) - athletics, cross-country, swimming sports, cultural days, art exhibitions, music and singing groups, etc, etc. I actually think St Joseph's is a 'best kept secret' school and I'm just so pleased we 'found it' and have enrolled our 2 boys there.

I have been a St Jos parent for almost 6 years. My three children all attend St Joseph's and are currently in Years 6, 5 & 3. All my children have had happy positive experiences at St Jos. Any issues have been swiftly dealt with and the staff have been supportive with both academic and health issues that our family has had to deal with during our time there. The kids have enjoyed their school days, have committed and supportive teachers and staff and there is a beautiful community feel at the school. I feel lucky that my children have been able to have such a wonderful primary school experience.

Can’t say enough how much we love this tiny fabulous school. We totally have peace in mind sending our daughter to St Joseph’s Orakei: A genuine educational environment where Principal, Teachers, Staffs value each child and truly care for them and where individual is offered best opportunities to thrive and unleash potential. Above that, we trust our girl is learning well and on the right track becoming a good person with Catholic values.

A lovely small primary school which feels like a country school even though it is close to the city. The teachers all know who your child is and there is a supportive community of parents. I've seen my son thrive at St Joseph's and he has been given opportunities that would not have happened at a large school. The students are taught to be kind to each other and to have good values. An excellent choice for parents looking for an alternative to large city schools.
