I used to frequent this pita pit back when I lived in New Zealand. It was one of my favourite places to get lunch or dinner as it was just down the road, and I have very fond memories of the staff and the food.I am currently visiting New Zealand again and have noticed that things have changed a lot. The food doesn't look or taste as fresh anymore (the feta tasted really old, an off after-taste to the pita in general). I've also noticed that the vegetarian side of the grill is no longer a thing - as someone who has many vegetarian and vegan friends, this isn't just a moral issue, but also a religious and health issue in some cases.I'm not sure if there's been a change in management or something recently, but the 4.5 star rating no longer stands.The staff are still wonderful, but the hygiene and general care seems to be lacking in many areas.I might go to Kelston next time I'm back in New Zealand.

I love Pita pit. But for some reason this branch isn’t great. I work right near this branch but now pop down to Rosebank rd or Kelston branches at lunch. I seems to taste better/fresher there. This branch isn’t bad. Its Just not as good.

Had Southern Prawn. Was quick and tasty, and staff were nice, however it was cold in some places and hot in others. Also, turns out a pita is 600 calories (half daily intake if you are wanting to lose weight), so I would not recommend as a healthy option.

Fantastic place to have a meal, friendly staff, hygienic premises. My favorite Pita is the large Wholemeal with lettuce, ham, carrot, beetroot, onion, gurkan, hummus, tomatoe, avocado.

Visited over the weekend. I put the young team of two under pressure, and they passed with flying colours. Polite and professional.4 stars given - because they could do with a little bit more training and defined processes (by the management) on how to cater for vegetarians. Would definitely visit them again.

I used to also go to this store as I am a local. Received an Uber Eats order $25.00 I got refunded because my salad came warm and soggy due to the Uber driver messing around. Secondly the salad was half the size it has been in the past and lettuce was brown along with the other veggies not very fresh. I couldn't even eat it.
