The Jayas Wine Bar
Although Jayas has a relatively small food menu, they were some of the best Indian dishes I've had in Wellington. The chicken sharing plate and kidney bean mains are particularly amazing! Really great wine selection and friendly staff. The guy serving us was lovely. It's a little pricey but they do good deals. We will be back again!

Perfect place for good food AND wines! Wine tasting with professional guidance and if you want especially in combination with the food. If you have been here you want to visit the vineyard’s of NZ. The people of Jaya’s Wine Bar have reinvented hospitality, so you will have a marvelous time here.

The Jayas Wine Bar
This is a new wine bar with a well thought out theme and menu. Love the focus on NZ wines and the south Asian food theme. I loved the wine that we drank as I was skeptical of finding a red I would enjoy and complemented this with a cheese platter which is abundant. The chicken tikka followed and it just wrapped up the evening beautifully. The service and attention is what really is commendable. They really want to please you and make sure you have the best experience- so thankful for that. It was the perfect experience. A little work on creating a warm ambiance would make this the next happening spot in Wellington.

Very tasty food with a good selection of wine. Giving this a 4 out of 5 stars as we dined using First Table (food was 50%) which was good value for what you get. Without the discount, we felt the food was on the pricier side.

New restaurant, amazing food, great service. It's no wonder they've done so well in their first Wellington On A Plate competition - some truly inspired dishes in a relaxed atmosphere.

We have been back a few times and every time has been awesome, the staff make you feel so welcome. The food is amazing, a good selection of wines and there is live entertainment so its pretty much the perfect place. It is quite expensive but honestly worth saving up for the food is seriously that good.

Incredible spot! We visited to try their Wellington on a Plate festival dish and cocktail, and were absolutely delighted. One of the best cocktails I've had in my life, and the food was made with such care too.Excellent service - thank you for taking the time to walk us through the stories of each dish.The one suggestion I'd make is that the lighting felt a little harsh for a late night - if it were slightly dimmer it would have added to the already incredible experience. Even so - a hidden gem in the city.We already can't wait to come back and try the wine tasting and dinner :)

Super delicious authentic food. We were served by a very knowledgeable and helpful waiter with great recommendations. They have a large range of vegetarian options and I will definitely be back again to try more dishes!

The Jayas Wine Bar
The host was very friendly and down to earth. The food was superb - we had 3 sharing meals and then shared 1 butter chicken. The naan bread is the best I've had anywhere. And a very good selection of wine. There was live music too on the night. The premises are very clean and we'll presented. Highly recommended.
