Just found out this lovely garden, right besides the zoo and the park.It's small but absolutely beautiful.Easily feel the originality of Japan.

Fukuoka Garden
A nice lovely garden established by Auckland City Council and Fukuoka City Council as part of sister city programme between the two cities. Although only available during the daytime, the garden do provide a nice oasis and different scenery in Western Springs. The garden have a pavilion where you can sit and enjoy the small waterfall, stream, and pond along with the lovely flowering plants.

Nice little garden. Names Fukuoka garden, but the decorations are definitely done by someone who don't understand Japanese gardens.

A great little garden next to Auckland Zoo and Western Springs Park. Well maintained and provide a zen feeling. The path is one way so need to come from one entry and leave via another one. This is a very peaceful and relaxing place.

I used to take the kids for walks around Western Springs when they were small.Great to see the birdlife in and around the water are still thriving. It's a nice walk around and very calming if you take the time to enjoy.I didn't even see the garden (must have walked by it at some point) so can't add a comment about it.
