Very friendly informative and thorough examination of my dog George

Came here a while back to get our cat put to sleep and the staff here were so lovely. They fit us in urgently even though they were packed out that day, gave her a wonderful send off and even wrote us a lovely card after which was signed by everyone. I couldn’t have imagined a better way for this sad process to have gone. Big thanks and appreciation to Howick pet doctors. ❤️

Fab service and aftercare for pets. Looked after my dog well. Have been going here for years. You can tell that everyone working there love animals. Always get wonderful service and good intro puppy school classes.

I was with Pet Dr's for about 3 years and the care was good and people kind. But had a terrible experience with the receptionist when I went to pay and realised I didn't have my card told them I'd go home and grab it (noting I wasn't new to the clinic been there 2 years at the time) they wouldn't let me and insisted I ring home and get someone to give me the details, told them no one was home and I was only down the road. They still told me I'd need to give them card details before I left. I asked if I could simply go home and ring back card details? They finally let me go get my card and put my dogs medicine to the side and said you will only get this when you come back. Noting other customers were in the clinic this whole time. Was made to feel awful and I complained via their feedback process and didn't get a response. I get that people take off but you'd think after 2 years and always paying my bill (I didn't have an account and always had to pay on my way out) they had some type of trust in me. I finally left and hope no one else is made to feel this way.

Great clinic. The vets are very thorough and will explain everything. Not too bad the prices either :)

Called ahead that my dog had collapsed and needed emergency care. The receptionist advised nothing available but could make an appointment next week. My dog died on the way to the Emergency Vet Clinic in Mt Wellington. I wouldn't bother with Pet Doctors or Sommerville Vets. I couldn't trust either of them to look after my animals in an Emergency.
