Jeff took us on a fantastic hike from the end of the Milford Track to Giant's Gate waterfall. It was easy going with little rests here and there while Jeff told us about the history, flora, and fauna of the area. The hike definitely made our experience at Milford Sound unforgettable. My husband and I both agreed we liked the hike even more than the cruise on the sound.

We had such an awesome trip to Milford Sound and back today with Geoff. We were initially tossing up wether to drive ourselves but we were so glad we ended up booking the tour instead.Geoff was super friendly, fun and knowledgeable and seemed genuinely interested and happy to be there. He stopped at heaps of beautiful spots along the way to get photos and explore. (A yummy lunch was also provided).Thanks again Geoff, we would highly recommend!

Very organised and amazing trip. We enjoyed our time with Madeleine. Very knowledgeable person and friendly. She took us to different places and hikes that I didn't expect but very grateful she did. Definitely we will recommend them

Steve, Kate and Madeleine were amazing with organizing exactly what we wanted for a day at Milford Sound with helicopter tour, Southern Discovery boat and kayak tour and private driver back to Lake Te Anau. We headed out from Te Anau to Milford Sound on a guided full day bus tour. Our guide Geoff was fantastic. Not only was the scenery itself absolutely stunning, Geoff provided a fun and informative commentary about the local area along the way. The bus itself was clean and comfortable, the lunch provided was fresh and beautifully prepared by the local bakery. The snow created some havoc for some drivers along the way so I was very grateful to not have to drive myself . I would love to come back in the summer and do it all again. Highly recommend. Leaving from Te Anau also meant we missed a lot of the crowds. Thank you Geoff and the team for a wonderful experience!

Absolutely wonderful experience with this tour company. They took care of all the planning, made all the arrangements, and even provided curbside pickup and drop off. The guides were fantastic, extremely knowledgeable, and shared wonderful stories about the local history and culture. The views were breathtaking! It’s hard to imagine so much was fit into three days. I would highly recommend booking a tour with Trips & Tramps.

We have just finished the day trip to Milford Sounds with our guide Andrew. He was excellent! Very knowledgeable and personable. Great sense of humour and really made the trip for us. I have previously done this trip with a different tour and this was by far the best. We cannot recommend this enough.

We didn’t want to drive to Milford Sound and back because one person always misses out on the views and has to deal with the stress. But, there is also the worry of getting a bad driver.I booked with Trips and Tramps for the drive cruise and walk. The title completely undersells the day!What a brilliant decision! We were collected from our front door by a highly personable, highly capable and responsible driver and had a brilliant day.The commentary and information were excellent all the way. John told us the history of the area and the people as well as how farming and DOC work at present. Our small group of five made for good company throughout the day and stops could be as short or long as we wanted.We visited a number of sites for photo ops on the way, and he delivered us to the door @ Milford Sound ten minutes before our cruise with Mitre Peak Cruises departed. No fuss, no hurry.John collected us from the Cruise Visitor Centre and we enjoyed more great stories and information as well as more photo ops and short walks on the return trip. While we walked John wove flax into flowers and baskets. When we arrived back at Te Anau we could choose to be taken to a restaurant or home.What a great way to enjoy a fabulous day in the Sound - it was bright sunshine all day - and an excellent trip without the tension of driving. There was also a supply of tea and coffee in the van, and the lunch that can be purchased was delicious

Went on the Milford Sound tour today and had the lovely tour guide Ross, who was extremely knowledgeable and friendly. He was a great guide to have for the day! Very well organised and I would recommend to anyone wanting to see Milford Sound and the surrounding areas. Nice lunch included too. The cruise was amazing, thoroughly enjoyed the day and got to see seals and dolphins.
