I was gifted a mother's day voucher to have a high tea with my daughter as advertised on their website. I made a call and was given dates, made our decision and rang back to be told dates not decided yet, I should not have been told any dates. We are having a meeting about this will ring you back by the end of the week" no call. 2nd phonecall retold story

A lovely place to have a special birthday High Tea. The surroundings are beautiful, the staff are friendly, and the food was presented attractively. Little touches like a couch, flowers, tissues, and moisturiser in the ladies' rest room made me feel comfortable. A fire was burning in the lounge, creating atmosphere.

Terrible, Reception were so rude and I got hung up on when organising a late checkout on their phone line....When asking the Duty Manager for an explanation as to why she was so rude, she became even more unprofessional and really just straight.......... RUDE....!#Smile more lovely and try to refrain from being the opposite of high class and graceful because I never did get to see the great smile you were so quick to state you had.... Maybe get a glimpse of it during my next stay.... ☺️

Stayed for one night, had breakfast and dinner here. The room was comfortable and the food was actually amazing - would definitely recommend if it wasn’t for experience - some fronting staff were unhelpful, aggressive and intimidating. Confronting me and other guests aggressively and unexpectedly. I was a bit shaken by this actually, will not set foot near this place again.

Staff are very good, helpful and friendly. Rooms are clean but tired (and brown, decor is very brown!). Sheets in my room were very new - clean and crisp (unlike a colleague staying same night who had a hole! ), bathroom was very tired and bath coating was peeling, shower is oddly placed in corner over bath and the short glass shower screen doesn't stop water splashing out all over floor and toilet. Extractor fan in bathroom had less suction than an asthmatic pensioner so all the steam ends up in the room . Great location, but decidedly average accommodation.

A common theme with these reviews is the lack of cleanliness and musty smells and I couldn't agree more. The smell caught in my throat and won't go. There is dust on all the surfaces, on the light switches, on the skirting etc. I could overlook the tired rooms and sub standard shower which is just a Fawcett next to the toilet, but I feel unclean staying here

The customer service was really unfriendly and he was impatient, and they did not like it when I asked a few questions. We did not realize that we're staying in a motel as it was advertised as a hotel. The facilities were dirty, the glasses had not been cleaned, the carpet was filthy, the shower door was broken and we could not shut the bathroom door. The room was stuffy and had no air conditioning, they was a fan but it was very dusty. The only good thing was the location, it was convenient. For the price that we paid, it was not worth it. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

I stayed here recently in the motel part. The room was awful. It was unhygienic, female hair left on the window sill in the bathroom, the floor looked like it hadn't been vacuumed. The heater was loud, this meant I was really cold at night. It was either the heater on and couldn't sleep because of the noise or have a quiet room that was freezing cold.The dinner experience was peculiar. I ordered a starter and main with the rest of my party (of 2), my starter did not come out and I was told that the server thought I cancelled my starter because I ordered a main. When it came to dessert the chef must have had trouble telling the time as my friends ice cream sundae came out 8 minutes before my dessert meaning we ate separately.The breakfast was alright for a buffet breakfast, I asked for poached eggs and they were good.I ended up checking out early after I got back to the room from my day because I couldn't bear to stay any longer. I accidentally left my phone charger behind, I called the hotel and told the night porter. He said he would grab it from the room and put it behind the reception with my friends name on to collect the next day. The next day my friend went there and the receptionist couldn't find the named charger and gave my friend the completely wrong charger. So I'm assuming either the night porter or receptionist has that in their personal possession as there is no other place my charger could be. The room was still in my possession when I called in.The location is good but my God its dated. I'd recommend Copthorne or Quest Apartments.

Liked the spa pool next to the swimming pool. Spa is nice and hot normally, also still a bit cold in the morning if you are an early riser. Main building, restaurant and pub area is very nice.
