Staying locally and this was a short stroll from our accommodation and the menu looked pretty good and was priced ok with some reasonable reviews.My wife had the mushroom and halloumi burger and the lady taking the order was kind enough to swap out the fries for a salad (whuch ended up being a coleslaw) and I had the rump steak ordered medium rare (came out medium, but still filled the gap nicely) with a side of veges and fries.Service was order at the bar (food and drinks) and at $54.80 for the food and $20 for a handle of beer and glass of Pinot Gris, we could not complain really.Would go back again. Rated very good rather than average as price for quality we thought fair for pub quality food.

We came here for dinner after given recommendations by our hotel manager. Decided to check out their menu. Ordered their signature pork ribs and the the rib eye steak. Also had a local ale to go with it. The ribs were nicely done, soft and well marinated. The sauce that goes with it was a bit sweet but still quite tasty. The rib eye was nicely done and taste great as well. Service was efficient and the restaurant had a good crowd on a Saturday night.

Very pleasant atmosphere and the staff were very pleasant and helpful . Large tvs to watch the rugby on . Cold beer and large proportions of food on your plate.

Ordered pasta dish and tasted average - portion size was small relative to the price. $6 vegetable side has mostly boiled tasteless carrots. Others in our group ordered pork ribs on special for $20 which tasted fine and was better value for money. Most of the staff was polite but one of the younger female staff was cold and abrupt - expected better service as it was unpleasant.

So good the first night that we decided to return the following night. Good pub style meals at very reasonable prices. Maybe watching salt levels used. Helpful, friendly staff. Great atmosphere.

I was in for dinner tonight with the family, and have to say the young guy behind the bar is a real asset to the team here! So happy and smiling the whole night. Nothing was a problem and still patient as when some other customers were being a little short. Look after this one! He’ll go far in the industry and was so great to see a young guy actually loving his job. Nice work mate! Also, our food was absolutely perfect. Thanks team!

Drop in for a casual game of pool , table very old needs replacing like playing on concrete.Staff were lovely very friendly and proffessional.Inside is huge great place for a gatheringUnfortunately I dont recommend the bar snacks, had Camembert the outside was dry hard and tasteless cheese was cold in the middle.Nachos were quite bland need more flavour and sauce.

Went here with family, table for 6. Was a lovely atmosphere untill we mentioned that the 6 tender strips only came out with 5. The reason for mentioning this was due to our party of 6 to have one each. When we received the amended tray the cheff on duty had just cut two strips in half and sent them back out. I approached the manager who said it is because the chicken was large and so you get less. I would have accepted this information if it had been given during the order, but being that we had sent it back and received cut tenders in return were frustrated with the attempt to lie to us.After a while our mains came out, they were nice in flavor and good portion. But mid way through the meal the manager on duty brought out 3 half tenders double fried and a side of mayo (a substitute for not having aioli) set it down and smugly stated here are your chicken tenders.We decided shortly after he left that we were unsatisfied with the service, treatment, and state of the dining that we wanted to return the entree and head off.After a discussion with the manager again we were refunded for the entree, but the conduct he had and the confrontational approach he took for what equates to a chicken nugget was outrageously disproportionate. A final statement from him for us to cook our own meal instead of supporting a local business was quite unwarranted.Overall the majority of the staff were kind and hard working. But the manager and a couple of the staff were unacceptably rude and confrontational.Lastly the manager tried to intimidate us in to leaving sooner which we decided to instead enjoy our drinks before leaving.TLDR: good food, bad management, confrontational, aggressive, and disrespectful servers, and manager. Poor hospitality skills, zero communication skills.Take your money to another local, don't put yourself through the stress of these disagreeable people poorly attempting to be hospitality workers.

Nice place to eat and view the lake. Great range of drinks on tap and friendly staff. We had the 300g steak for dinner, medium rare, but it was a bit chewy. Vegetables were just boiled, so a bit boring. The highlight was the fantastic croquet, delicious.
