Nice, clean bathrooms, good disability access, great parking, indoor/outdoor seating areas, fantastic food menu with excellent fresh food. They also provide a limited liquor shop service. The customer service is frankly above & beyond- they let me charge my phone behind the counter ☺☺☺

Absolutely fabulous first dining experience at the Poroti Tav this evening with our whanau of 4 adults. We all ordered different meals, 2x steak, 1 pizza and 1 curry, and they came out beautifully cooked. Kai was delicious! The barman was amazing. So friendly, helpful and managed a busy environment very well. Great patrons too, keen to play pool and chat with us new kids on the block. We’ll be back, Poroti Tavern!

One of the best kept secrets in Whangarei.I've never had a bad meal here.Gumboots or suites. A little tavern with lots of personality and great service and food. Check out the events as well!

Love the food, cheap and actually a decent portion. Great service and has pool and darts which is very enjoyable. Also a pool night every Thursday which is great fun. Usually heaps of people there on pool night

The manager was absolutely lovely and welcoming.I recommend this place for a relaxed atmosphere and good service.Nice music while waiting for food and it wasn't too loud to hold conversations.
