The best trail ride I have done to date. Beautiful views riding through all the different flora and beautiful views of the coast. Erin was an amazing guide! Very caring and attentive and loved being out there almost as much as we did! Great host and definitely will be back to try the ocean swim out this summer! Absolutely recommend checking them out, you will not be disappointed

An amazing ride to say the least. The horses were incredibly calm and reaponsive. The staff was so friendly we almost didn't want to leave. Playing with the eels on their property is one of the coolest things I've ever done. They're so cute! Gutted we didn't know about the glancing before hand because we deffinetly would've loved to stay on their property, it's gorgeous. We had an amazing time connecting with nature and the animals this morning. We will be back!

One of the best horse treks I've been on. They were able to accomodate me as a solo rider for an additional costs and it was well worth the money. Naomi was my guide, she was super knowledgable and fun to chat with. I loved getting to canter on the beach and go for a swim with my horse in the bay. Stunning scenery and very happy, well looked after horses. If you're an experienced rider looking for a unique riding experience, this is for you!

Our three kids (7-10 years) had an amazing time. Kiley took the time to explain and make sure they were comfortable and knew what to do. The horses were clearly healthy and happy & the whole experience was relaxed and fun. Two quite nervous children came back confident and bubbling and they all now want their own ponies! I can’t rate this highly enough.

Spent a wonderful hour out riding this morning on a horse called Little Girl. She was beautiful as were the surroundings. Had a look at some very large Eels in the river which was exciting! Thanks again. Louise

4 of us came out for a tuna trail horse trek. We enjoyed a very serene and relaxed tour of the beautiful Sandy Bay hinterland. The ridgetop views of the Poor Knights were the icing on the cake. Naiomi was our guide and she was incredibly welcoming, attentive and patient. Highly reccomend this if you're out on the Tūtūkākā Coast.

We drove up from Auckland and had the most amazing weekend. We stayed 2 nights at the Awatuna yurt, every detail about this beautiful spot has been thought through carefully and applied perfectly. It is an ideal glamping getaway. The yurt is 6 star and the little stream and cicadas puts you right in with nature. Coupled with the horse riding on Saturday morning was stunning, thanks so much to our great enthusiastic guide Erin who made the day. Horses and views were incredible and we even swam in the ocean with the horses. If I could give more stars I would. Thanks guys.

My husband & I had the ultimate pleasure of enjoying Sandy Bay Glamping & Riding Tour package in March 2023. Glamping in the AwatunaYurt was totally secluded, romantic, & extremely clean! I loved the babbling brook behind the yurt & it is only a short walking distance to the beach & to the mountain hiking trails. THE HORSES!!! A top Aotearoa favorite! Riding Little Girl" & "Merlin" along the seaside mountains & also for the ocean horse swim was the icing on the cake! ( A dream of mine come true!) Our guide
