The eyefull tower at the Driving Creek racing in coromandel New Zealand is 173 meters or 568 feet above see level. Once you reach the summit on the Driving Creek railway train the tree canopy breaks away to 360 degree veiws of the coromandel and looking back to waiheke and goat island. It really is stunning and is great place for a family day out.

After a 30-minute drive on the Driving Creek Railway, you reach the upper end of the narrow-gauge railway at an altitude of 167 m. From here you can climb a viewing platform and enjoy a beautiful view of Coromandel's landscape. Next to the lookout tower is a small pool of water with ornamental fish, framed by ornamental plants and small sculptures. There is also a toilet.

Views good, but an awful ride up a noisy diesel belching train to get there. Rather do one of the many walks in the vicinity for views that are as good, but can be enjoyed in peace in tranquility.

Don’t miss the gold mine walk on the property where you can see the heaviest insect in the world.You have to go to the back of the cave to see them. There is a flashlight near the entrance.Watch the video until you see my finger touch the big guy.

Staff was friendly and good. Mini train was bit small and bit uncomfortable but it's okay. Good for children and family and couples as well. Enjoyed!
