The store is quite large with products ranging from cosmetics and supplements to honey and mead. Lots of knickknacks and other giftware too. I asked to taste some mead and honey which pushed my visit to about 30-45minutes. Unfortunately there were no workshops Or educational sessions taking place when I visited. There is an abundance of car parks or a 10minute walk to the nearby cafe. All the staff were super lovely and genuinely interested in their business.

Excellent shop, friendly service. Thank you Jo for taking my call and letting us stay overnight on your POP site. We enjoyed it, the bees loved having us there. We will definitely come again. You guys are doing an amazing job, as a fellow beekeeper and permaculture person I understand your approach and congratulate you on your achievements.

I loved it here! There is so much choice in honey, I was overwhelmed and didn’t know what to get since so much of it sounded amazing, but thankfully they have free samples of the honey and some of the alcoholic drinks as well! They have more than honey, beeswax candles, body creams, alcohol, house wares,There’s also a little cafe where you can get special drinks made with honey, as well as ice cream! There’s bees and little tours you can do (although I didn’t do it)Ended up getting the Feijoa honey, and one of the Keepers which you can mix into a cup of hot water/milk

Nice place to stop at after checking out the falls for some honey tasting and a little behind the scenes bee info. Very friendly staff and a nice little facility with easy parking, good restrooms and so many honey / bee products. Picked up some honeycomb to take with me for a snack and back on the roadz

Such a cool place to visit. Many variations of raw honey and hundreds of honey infused products. The play area was a hit with our kids and adults enjoyed tasting rare honey.

What can I say, one of my favourite experiences from my trip so far. The ladies inside where a delight to chat to and full of knowledge and smiles.Be careful however you will leave with more honey related items then you ever thought you would need in your life.Again, fantastic time and I would highly recommend. The staff are a real shining asset to the place. Thank you

A really great place to stop off and spend an hour or so in the shop, particularly on a rainy day! They have a live bee viewing window inside the shop which the kids enjoyed. There is a great selection of honey based products. The staff were really friendly and helped us out with our honey questions. Ended up picking up a jar of pickled onions in rum & honey. Would definitely pop back in again next time we are in Taupo.
