Vehicle Testing Kapiti

We have had our vehicle in to get multiple WOF’s at these premises due to the ease of use (drive through WOF) and have been failed for various things, some worthy and some not so worthy, one being no water in the window washer reservoir, tedious yes. We went in yesterday at 4:40pm (last minute decision, but there site says they close at 5pm), and were turned away as they were closing “shortly”, fair enough they do have families to go to as we were told. The person we spoke to said our vehicle wouldn’t pass a warrant anyway due to not having a grill installed (it was off getting painted), their reason when I questioned was that it now has exposed metal to the front, it only had the radiator exposed, no sharp objects or objects projecting from the front and have been informed today that not having grill is no reason to fail a WOF. The real reason for a one star, is purely their attitude and complete lack of customer service skills, the multiple times we have been here their service has always been subpar. We will definitely support another local business that deserves our business, yes we will not have the ease of a “drive through” station, but we would rather go to a local business that wants our business and treats their customers like paying customers.

Went this morning for a WOF first thing. They were extremely quick and thorough with the WOF. Very friendly and approachable. I would recommend this place and will be taking all our cars there from now on. Fantastic place

Took my 'modified' vehicle here , which only has a a modified exhaust on it , and got told to take it else where because they are not doing modified vehicles anymore . I guess none of my cars will be able to go here any more.

Lackluster service from sleepy guy at the counter, but not a long wait and technician was friendly.

Will go to a proper VTNZ next time! Took a company van in for WOF, failed due to a dent in the roof caused by a small tree branch, was told by 2 members of staff it was 'structural damage', this being a trades vehicle and not a passenger carrying vehicle... quick tidy up with a scrubbing brush and hey presto, it passed! Staff were very unhelpful and showed no common sense. Will go back to my normal WOF outlet!

Turned me away from a wof because I have aftermarket rims on my car and they supposedly don't deal with Lowered cars despite it not actually being lowered its only on rims. Terrible experience with the owner he doesn't deserve your money go elsewhere.

Drive in, no appointment necessary, just queue up and (provided your vehicle is warrantable) you're good to go. In my experience inspections take about twenty minutes, plus waiting time in the queue. There's a waiting room. Friendly staff.

1st timing using VTK, ended up being very convenient for our caravan and we also got a super card discount even though we went on a didn't day, so thanks team, will be back next year
