Donna organised our 'helicopter' wedding in February 19 on a mountain above Queenstown. The team Donna used were excellent, making for a very well organised and memorable day. Communications were brilliant before, during and after making the wedding stress free. It was glorious sunshine for the day even though the week had been rainy. The photos taken by Simon the photographer (and witness) were sensational and the pilot David (second witness) was very skilled in getting us to and from our drop off to create a never to be forgotten moment. Lastly our celebrant Phillipa, who worked with us in the weeks prior to the wedding to make our vows meaningful, was very special. We would defintely recommend a getaway wedding through Donna in spectacular New Zealand.

We contacted Donna early in the year to enquire about doing our wedding. She quickly sent us some choices for how much and some choices of location.We chose a heli wedding. So we headed off up to beautiful wanaka and awaited our day. Unfortunately it rained on the day we had planned with low fog grounding the chopper. After a brief call with Donna we decided to go for it the next day. She provided us with somewhere to change during the day. The photographer picked us up and we headed for the heli pad, where we met our celebrant and our pilot. We boarded the chopper and flew up the valley to McGills Creek waterfall. To us it was the most beautiful place in the world. The rock face, the waterfall was absolutely spectacular, the perfect backdrop for our celebration.We were extremely satisfied with our package excellent value for money.Donna and her team were awesome especially after it rained on the planned day. Even though our wedding was a day late it didn’t matter. Donna and her team made it happen for us and as we had requested. There’s nothing like a weather forecast of a storm to make you panic about your outdoor wedding day. Fortunately for my husband and I, we had the pleasure of choosing Donna and her team to make our day perfect. Everyone was completely amazing to have look after us and Donna even managed to get everyone together, last minute, to shift things forward a few hours so we were still able to have the best day without a hitch before the weather blew in (and managed to get some incredible moody photos afterwards).I just can’t give enough credit here for how happy we were with the day and we have just the most incredible photos to remember it by (really special to be able to show our little girl who was in my belly at the time!).Wouldn’t have changed a thing and it’s definitely thanks to the NZ Dream Weddings crew.
