Amazing place. Allow plenty of time to walk around. Really impressed by the quality of the exhibits and structures. Very well kept. Lots of different types of animals to view and feed. Beautiful cafe to relax and warm up in by the fire. Top 10 members get 10% off entry too.

We love willowbank. The annual pass is well worth it. The animals are friendly and come up to you, easy to feed. Staff are nice. Our favourite is when it’s raining. No crowds and the animals want to hang out with you

Willowbank is fantastic. The capybara experience is my favourite part but I love seeing all the animals who look so well cared for. Every visit is different and I look forward to every time I go

What a fantastic animal park. Great walkways. Heaps of work been done to spruce the areas up. Looks amazing. Great for the whole family. Feed the animals or watch someone else do it. Great informative signs about animals.

Really mediocre wildlife preserve. 2.5 stars but rounding down. Most of their animals are non-native to New Zealand, with vague descriptions that early Europeans introduced them for some asinine reasons.A solid third of it is a barn, with plenty of (to be fair, various kinds of) pigs and cows and horses and goats. Some colorful parrots and birds in the middle. One of them had clung to my backpack as I was exiting the enclosure, and may have flown free…It ends with a long walk for a small sip of water. Everyone is here to see the kiwis, but they are at the very end of the preserve. There are 4 of them in a pitch black room (they’re nocturnal you see). You can’t take pictures and you can barely see them. Rely on your ears and pray that they’re near one of the fences so you can see them.

Lovely weather. $3 per bag of food. There are buckets of food too. Pathways pretty wide, watch out for the occasional tree root. Monkeys, capybara, goats, horses, otters, macaws. 32.5 for adults and 12.5 children. Not too bad a day today

Lovely place to bring young children. Lots of animals to feed and see. Place was nicely decorated and has a rustic feel. There are benches and tables for picnic in the middle of the reserve. Reserve just feels a little small and cramped. All else is good.

First time for myself and two under 4yo. Was enough to keep them engaged through the entire park. The pathways are great and easy to move through even with a buggy. Great time, thank you :-)
