Queen Elizabeth Park
Great place at any time of the day. There are walks all over the place, wetlands, information displays scattered around the place, you can access the beach from both ends of the park, plus of course there are the trams and the tramway museum. It's a really interesting park.

Great park to explore. I did it on my e-bike and did 15kms over a few hours and only really touched the surface of what there is to explore. Easiest bike track was the paved one starting at Matai Road Raumati. The inland track is a bit rougher which was great fun. The coastal track was a lot rougher and sandier but gives heaps of access to the beach. Well worth a day out to explore.

Peaceful spot with stunning views of the mountains and the adjoining Tasman Sea. This made for an easy and beautiful daily hike with the dog.Bundle up whenever a gale makes its way through. You will feel it!

My husband and I visited there on a sunny Sunday. The atmosphere was excellent. It has easy walking trails and tracks with clear map guidance. Cycling and picnicking are also welcomed. We walked the coastal track and it had great views of oceans and bushes. It's kinda popular if you want to have an opportunity to try horse-riding. Overall it's a good place to have fun with your family on weekends.

Beautiful beach and lots of activities for the children including tram rides, the tram museum, bird watching, and cycling and walking trails.
