This place was excellent & marvelous, today I enjoyed a lot. sense of place is when people feel a longing of belonging towards a place or a city they are familiar with. When people visit a place for the first time, there is a feeling of anxiety and excitement where they tend to explore their surroundings for the first time. If they enjoy the place and it has led to a positive emotion, then they will re-visit or return to the place. This sense of returning to the place frequently and having that deep connection with the place makes the ‘space’ become a ‘place’ of meaning and connection. The particular place whether it be a public space or an office building, if it has led to a positive consequence, then people will return, leading to a sense of place. This is particularly important in public spaces and outdoor space. If the planners and architects create a place of belonging and an ambience where people can feel comfortable and convivial, be it the artwork or the fountain or the seating or the footpath or the grass area or the safe feeling one feels in the public space, the architecture of the space contributes to a sense of place.

Wonderful walking track with not much up and down bumps. Good for people with back problems. Very good maintained ground for games. They also have 3 practise nets outside besides the indoor place.

I walk my dog there if it's not to busy I can throw ball for her as plenty of room while keeping off sport fields, for ball.

I love the area around Ken Maunder Park and river. There is a walking path around cricket/soccer fields, people walk dogs. You can spot wild birds, magpies, grey herons, ducks, kingfisher, eels in the river.

If you're looking for a great place to get active and enjoy some outdoor fun, Ken Maunder Park on the New Lynn/Avondale border is definitely worth checking out. With its expansive sports fields and well-maintained turf, this park is a popular spot for weekend soccer games in the winter (even after a week of heavy rain!), and cricket in the summer. But while the quality of the fields is impressive, the same can't necessarily be said for the park's infrastructure. The park is a bit overcrowded with buildings and facilities, which can detract from the natural beauty of the area. Additionally, on days when there are large events or numerous games taking place at the park, finding a place to park your car can be a bit of a hassle.Despite these minor drawbacks, Ken Maunder Park is still a fantastic place to visit if you're looking for a fun day out with friends or family. The park offers a paved pathway around its perimeter, which is perfect for taking a leisurely stroll or bike ride and enjoying the stunning views of the Whau estuary. There are also plenty of picnic tables and seating areas where you can relax and enjoy a meal or snack, as well as drinking fountains to keep you hydrated during your visit.Overall, Ken Maunder Park is a great choice for anyone looking to enjoy some outdoor activities and get a little exercise. While it may not be perfect, its high-quality turf, beautiful views, and ample facilities make it well worth a visit.

I think this club has great pride in their work. The grounds men are always there doing some type of grounds work to keep it looking good and fit for people to play sports on without injuries.

My grandson and I love this park. He's 18 months old and likes to run in the open spaces there. No playground equipment but not necessary there. There are always ground staff or other users around so we feel quite safe.

We took the dog food a walk in a beautiful, sunny Tuesday morning. The park was lovely and green and spacious. The electrical pylons detract somewhat, but it is what it is.

A nice and lovely park with plenty of car park spaces. Often used for sports at day-time especially on weekends. You can still walk around the park and enjoy a nice sceneries while you do so. In the evening, plenty of empty parking spaces, but can be quite cold and windy.
