I highly recommend South Island Trailers, after owning the tandem 10x5 cage trailer a couple years I still surprise myself with the weight it can handle with ease, it’s proved itself time after time. It’s a really well balanced trailer that tows very well in all situations. Couldn’t be happier with my purchase and I don’t think you’ll be able to beat the value for money with these trailers. Ben was incredibly easy to deal with and his after sales support (should you need it) is exceptional. If I ever need another trailer, I won’t be shopping elsewhereCheers

Awesome trailers at an affordable price. I was looking for a trailer for quite a while and had a look at a few different ones from different dealers. In my opinion the south island trailers were absolutely the best built imported trailers on the market. The steel used was heavier than the others as well as the axle and bearings being of a higher quality. You may find a cheaper trailer but it wont compare in quality. Couldn't be happier. Cheers Ben!

Great trailer good price little hard to find otherwise simply excellent. Trailer tows well carry a full load very well if I ever manage to wear this one out I would certainly buy another

I was in a tough spot with a brand new trailer (that I didn't purchase from here)and went in to south island trailers and ask for some help.He went above and beyond what he could of. Got us out of a pinch.Then refused payment.Couldn't recommend any higher . Top service, A++++++

Have one of the tip trailers which I also cart my digger around on. Gets a lot of abuse and has held up extremely well. Ben has been a pleasure to deal with, and I have had great after sales support for extras I have wanted added to the trailer. Highly recommended

South island trailers are simply the best on the market in quality,service, and price Ben was a great help during and after my purchase in June 2019.I spent around a month and a half reviewing all trailers listed on trade me and even visited some dealerships also, but couldn't find anything else on the market that would match up with south island trailers quality in build,parts,service and accessories etc....along side their very competitive pricing.the towing ability is smooth,tracks nicely and does not have any steel components rattling or banging while towing not to mention the nice tight locking latches for both front and rear tailgates which include tie point cross bars this all together with the 1950mm long draw bar makes for enough space to drop the front gate while still running a large front box as per my attached photos.the Galvanized wheels with commercial tires are an added bonus as everyone else just seem to sell theirs with the white steel wheels which seems to be the mill to speak.good quality full steel axles,solid bracing with heavy duty suspension and grease points along with the 2500KG combined load rating (GVM) which is very important when considering some are only rated to a maximum combined weight (GVM) of 2000KGS.the steel cages are well built and securely mounted to the side walls with nice tight fitting cross bars for the best quality road cover I have seen on any trailer, this fabric seems to be very similar to the adventure kings swags rip stop nylon with good zips and Velcro.I would totally recommend South island trailers for anyone looking to buy a quality trailer that will last you many years of service.

Have bought 2 trailers off Ben so far (2 years apart). The original one is used daily and has been towed all the way around Otago/Southland weekly (we are directional drillers) and is still in as good a condition as it was new - very well built.
