Horrible service. Placed an order worth around $145 the food tastes terrible and made their own decision to switch two of my dishes which were butter paneer and kadai paneer rather than informing me that they ran out on their paneer, they accepted my order and failed to inform me that they could not meet my order accurately and gave me the entire order with the person at the counter. Just informing me upon pickup that only one dish was substituted with vegetables while everything else remained the same . The worst to have ever tried.

This restaurant know what Indian food taste like. I have tried Indian food nearly all major city. This one didn't disappoint me. Tasty food with good service

We went to The Maharaja on a Sunday night which is when they have a special price of $14 for any standard curry. Our family of 5 had a curry each and the food was absolutely fabulous. The down side was as it was busy the food took a while but definitely worth the wait. The decor is a little ragged around the edges and certainly not flash but the great food eclipses all of that

I can only comment on the one dish we had. We ordered the Paneer butter curry - medium spice. Unfortunately it was really bad. Tasted like a watery sugar sauce. No spice at all. Nothing like what I expected. Garlic Naan was fine hence the extra star.

Best Indian meal in Dunedin. I dine in here many time. Never disappoint me. Food quality is excellent and service is excellent. Highly recommend

Such a bad customer service we experienced today at Maharajas. First, we are given the wrong food, we ordered chana masala curry, we have no idea what were were served. Even the garlic ginger prawn was different from what I had the last time. Being only customers there, the person switched the lights on and off, and eventually turning the light off at our table. Later we were charged for the food we were served even though we didnt order that. Not going there again.

Food is absolutely tasty. Lamb Methi and garlic and cheese naan is absolutely delicious. highlight recommend this restaurant. my family favourite. Keep it up Mahrajas

We booked maharajas for my son birthday. Team was absolutely accomodating. Food was absolutely tasty. Keema cheese naan with maharajas tandoori platter was extremely tasty. No doubt best indian food In Dunedin. We throughly enjoyed our visit. Will be back
