Don't own a Skoda in NZ if you're expecting any level of aftersales service.Skoda advertise through the NZ Government recall website that there is an active recall in place for the Skoda Fabia fitted with the 7 speed dual clutch transmission which can result in pressure loss in the mechatronic unit.My vehicle fits the criteria for their recall as it was manufactured at the right time, has the transmission the recall relates to and is suffering with the fault the recall is supposed to rectify.Despite this, Skoda NZ has declined to carry out the repair under their recall program because they claim my vehicle is not fitted with the faulty part, and instead of fixing it, have supplied me with a quote in the region of $6000, to fix something they nationally advertise should he free.I have responded to their email asking how an earth they can claim my car was not fitted with the faulty components when it is fitted with the exact transmission the recall relates to and has the exact the fault the recall is meant to remedy. They have not bothered to respond, presumably because they can't answer me.Disgusting service, will definitely be the last time I own a Skoda.

Have a Kodiaq, love the car except we have a engine cooling issue that is covered by warranty but can’t get any response from Giltrap to get a service. They had one try to repair but seem to have given up. 3 months now and we can’t take the car on any long trips. Tried phone, web site booking and emails even emailed Skoda NZ General Manager. No response!

Don’t buy a Skoda. Have had a Skoda Kodiaq 2.4Tdi with various breakdown problems for two years and they don’t sort them out. Currently on xmas holiday with the family and a trailer - 300kms from home and an overheating car that they will tow back to Auckland for me. Up to me to get the family and trailer back. Terrible service.

Now had 8 Skoda's as work and private cars, and still own 3 of them. Fantastic cars and Skoda NZ really good to deal with :)
