Terrible place with horrid and almost hostile staff. We were traveling with kids, and read through reviews that this is a good place. However the shop was closed during opening hours, and the first thing the staff could say when we opened the door, was “We don’t have food and we don’t want your trash.” (We were holding cups of takeaway drinks, because we were halfway through them with zero intentions to throw them with the staff) Skip this place of you’re looking for food on route a road trip. There’s much better places further down the road.

Great place to stop to break the trip home. Food was hearty with chips to die for! Great Value! The hosts were friendly and talkative. Would stop again!

Great stop on the way up to auckland. Expectations were exceeded with customer service. Food was next level. Solid work. High praise, keep up the good work, will recommend for friends. Side note - THE BUGGER BURGER is FANTASTIC.

Worth a visit especially for their burgers, Best I have ever had. We also spent the night. Really rustic but super comfortable. And Arron is a great host.

This place is always a good spot to stop on the road to feed the kids and stretch the legs! Foods great, owners are cool people and there's always friendly banter from everyone!
