Crimson Global Academy (CGA) - Leading Edge Online High School

We had a very organized and outstanding experience with the CGA team having come late to the university admission process. A very detailed and dedicated team stayed across the timelines, time zones, and mitigated the last minute challenges that cropped up for us often outside of their remit. Much appreciated.

I've joined CGA for the second year now, it has been an awesome year!I've been to a few practical meetups, and also an event at the zoo. I've been able to study 1-2 years forward to my age which my school didn't allow. Jamie's book also helped a lot too.

I have been a student of CGA for two years and I firmly believe that this school represents what education should be – CGA is engaging, exciting and encourages ambition and curiosity. There is mutual respect between students and teachers alike, and the calibre and knowledge of the teachers is exceptional. I truly believe I am being taught by the ‘best of the best’ and CGA is fulfilling my thirst for knowledge.

CGA is not just an online high school, but an awesome community of ambitious students. The lesson are of high quality and the teachers show genuine care for the students. They are always willing to help. There are also countless extracurricular opportunities. Simply put, it's an experience that you shouldn't miss out on.

One day my girl asked me if she could sign up with Crimson Education which helps bright kids go to top universities in the world. Is it a scam? I remembered the documentary film - Operation Varsity Blues. I searched up Jamie Beaton, (co-founder of Crimson) who got 10 As on his A-level and was accepted by all top universities he applied to, that was very impressive.My girl started with being tutored by a few young mentors from Crimson. She also had an academic advisor and strategist. After one year, she became a very organized and independent person because she had to schedule all her tuition after school with them. She was happy. All this tuition really accelerated and motivated her academically. Then Crimson Global Academy (CGA) was launched in 2020. She was in Year 10 (NZ level) and found her local school was not challenging her enough so she joined CGA as a Part-time student managing 4 IGCSE subjects and experienced her first online classroom. She found the classes were fun and the teachers were amazing. Her Maths was one year behind (at Year 9 NZ level) when she joined CGA but the teacher spent extra time to help her catch up. During that year, she had to do some CGA studies while she was in her local school classes. As the CGA course was quite fast-paced learning. It was tiring for her managing day school and evening CGA classes, but she made it. She got 3 As & 1 As* i.e. 8 & 9 on IGCSE at the end. Suddenly, I realised she was one year ahead of her peers at her local school.The following year, we decided to join CGA Full-time because she wanted to study more subjects and had more time to focus on her 5 AS subjects and 1 AP Computer Science. It was a bit intense to see her tackling 13 papers in a hotel room for her AS Exam in Auckland. Again, she got 11 As and 2 Bs including 6 full marks (100%). I remembered the teacher asked the kids to turn on their computers at 7:30 am for the last questions if any just before the 9 am exam. The teacher went over and beyond what we had hoped for and really wanted them to do their best. The exam was during the pandemic so CGA had to put in a huge effort to make it happen. When we just arrived at the hotel, I was surprised to get a phone call from the Principal checking if we crossed the Covid restriction border to be there for the exam. He's such a responsible man.Now 2022, my girl is doing 3 A2-level and 1 AS-level this year and is planning to graduate with 6 A2-level and 1 AP subjects next year. I can see she's on track to fulfilling her goal of getting into university admissions in the UK or the USA. I will wait and see what happens...CGA is an excellent online school in terms of high-quality education with good culture. If your kids are ambitious, their potential can be maximized. The teachers are really brilliant so kids can get their best results if they are willing to put in the effort. My girl is always excited about her classes and has enjoyed studying with CGA. They have good resources including academic advisors, university admission advisors, Dean, pastoral care, a great administration team, a good executive Principal and Principal and much more. They are all very helpful and assessable. If we have any concerns we just asked! I met Jamie Beaton (DPhil/PhD in online learning) a couple of times. He is always thinking about how to provide better education, support, and extra-curricula for the students and make CGA better every day. My girl and our family are very grateful that CGA has done its job so well.I was worried about my girl's social life because of online learning but she still has contact with her local school friends and her friends from after school activities. In addition, she also knows her multi-national online CGA classmates. It's very cool! I imagine she will make more friends when she goes to the university abroad and meets like-minded friends from all over the world.L. NZ

Our experience at CGA has been exceptional. The teachers are truely invested in my child’s education and his growth as learners. Small class sizes and levelled learning have enabled my child to gain confidence in his learning abilities.Great team - great school.

We are into our third year with Crimson Global Academy and my son still loves every lesson! He has enjoyed the extra challenge this learning platform provides and looks forward to his online classes. He also finds the teaching standard to be of very high quality and all of the teachers during our time have been so engaging, committed and supportive. Being part of CGA is not just limited to the academic benefits - we have received a great deal of information and support through the informative and motivational webinars, assemblies and parent-teacher meetings. My son has been involved in several extra-curricular activities, groups and learning/leadership opportunities that have been fantastic. The support staff we have encountered and interacted with during our CGA journey have been so friendly and helpful we just think they are all superstars. And a special thank you to Mandy (initially), Kevin and Harry who have been absolutely incredible. Thank you all for we know our sons education has improved ten fold thanks to CGA. I have only been going to CGA since the beginning of February, but I can already see a big difference in my school work and certain personal skills. I was never at the top when it came to school marks but I have not failed a single exam while I have been at Crimson, even manging to score from 70%-90% in all of my assessments. I have also been able to learn many important life skills like discipline, time management and independence. The community is really nice all the teachers are great. Unlike traditional school everyone in my classes are here to learn so we are all able to get the best out of our education without other distractions you will find in an in-person" high school. This school has really helped me to grow more confident in the subjects I am taking while pushing me to achieve the highest I can."

I started CGA this year and it has been an amazing experience. The teachers are amazing, you can tell they genuinely care about the students. I have learnt a lot, not only in my subjects but also learning things like how to study and time management skills. I feel as though I can focus more as there are no distractions as everyone is there to learn. All in all it’s a great school.

Highly recommend the CGA team, professional, friendly, and taking care of your needs. From the introduction, to finding the teacher you want, to enquiry, every part is impressive. Most of them should be teachers provided by CGA. They are really good at finding good teachers around the world.It was not easy to find a suitable teacher who teaches Cambridge in New Zealand, but they found my son a Physics and English teacher who knew IGCSE very well and not only explained how it works but also helped my son revise his subjects with perfect knowledge and skills.Really appreciate it and highly recommend it to all.
