Beautiful park and tour. The guide was very knowledgeable and had a beautiful singing voice. We took the short tour, which was great, but now I wish we'd taken the longer one

Highly recommended! There is a tour on the beautiful cave before the glow worms boat ride which takes your breath away. Tour guide is very knowledgeable. Do need to book in advance.

It's a nice looking cave with the rear glowworms... Let's say if you're in that area you have to see it!Most likely after this visit it will not be the place you remembered that I need to see it one more time - was ok and had to see but that's it.

Must visit in New Zealand and in Waikato.World's largest glow worms and explained nicely by the locals.Beautiful limestone structures formed over several millions of years.Free parking at the site. Nice gift store and yummy food served at the Cafe.

This cave was nice but the tour is very rushed and no pictures allowed until the end. It felt like the tour company was trying to move as many people through as possible. The boat ride is a nice touch but honestly we preferred our more intimate and longer tour of the Ruakuri caves.

What a fantastic experience. The crew here is so knowledgeable and our tour guide also happen to be the descendent of the maori explorer. Its a must visit thing. It was nice and cool. Very safe for a 4 year old. Good thing no phones are allowed and u spend all the time absorbing the beauty of the glow worms like stars in the sky. Also has a restaurant and gift shop. Very well maintained with ample parking space.Pictures are allowed as u exit the cave.

The caves are just majestic and the local Maori guides do provide lots of information about the caves and their traditional values! Really worth a visit. Feels like staring at a night sky full of stars.

An excellent place to visit and admire nature and what all it can do. The cave formations are incredible to look at. The guides are exceedingly knowledgeable about the glow worms themselves as well as the caves. The history of the discovery and control of the caves was also interesting to learn about.

Arrived at 1pm with no booking during school holidays-we were hoping to get to all 3 caves but they managed to fit us into 2. All the staff were super friendly-cafe food was yummy and quick, considering there was a large group ahead of us.There was a minor mix up with our first cave booking but they fit us onto the next tour and we still made our second tour with plenty of time. Brooke and Blake in particular were lovely. And let me tell you, I’ve been to many caves in the US, France, and Australia and these are AMAZING. Definitely coming back for the 3rd cave next time we are in NZ :)Yes it’s a bit pricy but I hope the employees are paid well; it’s well organised and clean and they explain their measures to maintain the caves responsibly.

The facilities are great! I find it awe-inspiring how they were able to develop the caves into a well-preserved and developed attraction. The guided tour showed the cave and its geological features, as well as some history about the area. The highlight of the tour is the boat ride to see glow worms deeper in the cave. It is like looking into constellations on the ceiling that you can almost touch.
