Great stop off point when heading north! Love this cafe, doesn’t matter what time of the day you call in, the cabinet is always full. Great coffee and the toasted Sammy’s are delicious!

Had Moroccan pulled lamb which is served on a pita. Although the lamb was very good, the pita was very tough/hard. Asked for steak knife to be able to cut it and it still took some effort. Too bad a simple pita ruined a pretty good dish. As for service, my order was messed up and the staff rectified it, but I had to stand in line twice in order to correct the issue, with nothing offered for the inconvenience and wasted time.

What a fab spot, great outlook over PioPio's playground. An accommodating outdoor decking area with clear sides to keep you warm and toastie when the weather isn't playing its part. A busy vibe without being too crowded. A wide variety of food although a few alternatives for cakes could be available. We stopped twice on our road trip. Would definitely indulge again.

Lovely food and atmosphere. Great service and coffee too. Everything arrived quickly despite the cafe being packed and the queue to the door. Don't be put off by the popularity, they handle the large numbers easily and there's good reasons this place is so popular with - it's great

Delicious Big Breakfast and coffee. Enjoyed our stopover with friends. Service was excellent. Our waitress was cheerful with a beautiful smile.

Nice busy little place, mince and cheese pies at $9.50 we thought was expensive but came with salad and a drizzle of dressing which my son was not happy about with the dressing over his pie in places. Coffee was nuclear hot which was just as well as there was a long pause between coffee and food and I prefer the two together when eating a dessert

Stopped here for lunch on the way between Hamilton and New Plymouth.Very busy at the time (it was school holidays).Great selection of food and beverages, either from the counter or the blackboard menu.They also have gifts and other food items for sale too.A small bridge takes you over to a lovely playground too. Great for families.Nice clean toilets too (x3).Plenty of parking, too.Would definitely recommend making it a place to stop at on a road trip if it's around food time!

This Cafe is absolutely fantastic. Either breakfast lunch or dinner, the food is amazing. There is so many choices and the food window inside looks like a royal feast. Eat outside and there is a great park for kids to play off there energy before getting back in the car. We travel from Taumarunui just to eat some wonderfully amazing awesome looking dishes, and the coffee is great too. The staff that cater to your every need are beautifully happy, smiles and laughter so friendly. If you haven't been PLEASE go and experience this awesome Cafe in Piopio.

This place was absolutely humming when we stopped in. No carparks and ten minute waits on food and coffee. Well worth it, though, the food was delicious and the coffee was good. The staff were busy.In terms of facilities, there was seating indoors, outside, and under cover. The bathrooms were clean and tidy.
