MtHutt beats everything in the southern hemisphere. Best place ever. Your mountain is calling!!!! Grab your skis snowboards and mountain bikes. Bring your own water tho don't drink anything from tap it comes from the lake.

They are friendly but the 'compulsory' chains didn't fit the car, ended up having to remove them half way up. Luckily we didn't actually need them at all and the car gripped way better without the (incorrect) chains. Don't think this is a common problem but it does feel like a jip paying for chains when none are needed

Solid staff member here, was super friendly and helpful. Chains are reasonable to buy outright and he'll teach you how to put it on.

$50 for chain hire. The booth isn’t open if the Mt Hutt Snow Report says chains only need to be carried in your vehicle. Head to Alpine Sports beforehand to hire chains of this is the case - super friendly staff.

Warning!!! They will charge you for old chains that break and fall apart. Its cheaper to buy your own. Stay clear of this scam!!

If renting chains book in advance, they might run out of chains in the size that you need especially at busy time. They ran out on the second day the slopes were open for our tire size.
