Red Cafe

Don’t usually leave reviews but this place was exceptionally poor. Customer service was terrible, they got my order wrong and it was extremely slow. The pool was lovley but will not be returning to the cafe again.

Red Cafe is a wonderful cafeteria built into the Halswell pool and Halswell community library. You can access it without paying to enter the swimming pool. It has a great range of hot and cold food plus an awesome range of hot and cold drinks. Everything is available in dine in or takeaway. The coffee us great and the cakes/slices are delicious. There's plenty of seating. Parking is 100% not an issue. The staff are super-friendly and there is never much of a wait. The complex is peaceful and quiet (it's a library!) So its never crowded or hectic... what a great place to relax. Red cafe is small but not underwhelming... I love the hot chocolates and cakes. You'll not be disappointed with the quality or the prices.

Great little cafe, super service & coffee. Overlooking the Halswell pool & adjasent to the Library at Halswell. Its a must to visit.

It's okay. Coffee 7/10. Not really somewhere you go for the ambience.

Figured I'd grab a bite to eat whilst at the pool and was greeted with sub par service by staff who knew nothing about the menu, ridiculous wait time and runny liquid pesto dripping heavily out of an overpriced barely 'toasted' bagel.

Nice and relaxing environment with good coffee

Still good coffee, helpful staff, but the carrot cake was a bit dry.

Severely poor service. Took a few minutes for someone to even acknowledge us and felt like we were putting them out.40 minutes and still waiting for coffee. Will not be back.

No eye contact or greeting on arrival by a staff member who was leaning against the back counter. Had gift vouchers for a Chinese tea experience. The staff member did not know and had to ask (I assume it was the owner). Who was quite helpful but needs to give his staff more direction as she was letting him down big time.We sat outside and the table hadn't been wiped, there was rubbish (empty plastic bottles and paper napkins) strewn about the floor. Another patron came out and had to clear his own table before sitting down. He left and we were there for a good twenty minutes after them and tables still not cleared or wiped.Ten doĺlar toastie was quite tasty and the tea was nice except for a small chip in one of the cups (as we all know chips can harbour bacteria). My friend did not get a Serviettes with her cake.This could be an awesome place but let down by a staff member who obviously has no interest in working hard and doing a good job.

Lovely quiet friendly cafe.I was welcomed by a lovely friendly lady, who was patient while I decided on my order.Wait time was very minimal and despite current circumstances was very chatty and shared a laugh about disinfecting the table and seat due to current circumstances. Lovely relaxing music, quiet cafe, will be back again!!
