We dine out and eat Indian food alot and i would definitely recommend this place. The food is fresh and tastes very good. And the price is also very reasonable.We will be coming be here again when visiting Rotorua.Chilli paneer and kadai paneer very yummy!!

Fantastic place for dinner! The food was really, really good and very reasonably priced. The tandoori chicken was a stand out. One of the best meals I have had in NZ. Highly recommended.

Royal Indian Restaurant Tandoori Cuisine
We went to the restaurant yesterday afternoon and the food was just fantastic! The malia kofta was sumptuous.. had a really good after really long! The front staff ( a very gentle man) who took our order and served us was just too good his hospitality skills. He was really good ( Sorry didn’t ask his name), but a very humble man!Thank you for such good food. Highly recommended.

food was great, however. I ordered a medium curry, watched the man write down mild, was going to correct him but I let it go, because I was ordering two other curries that were mild and thought he misheard which is fine. BUT when I got my curry they'd written medium on the container and no way was that medium, there was zero spice in there at all. just give people what they ask for and if they suffer then that's on them, but I want my spice thank you.

Service was good but service doesn’t fill our tummy with the tasty food.Chicken tikka had uncooked chicken and 3 people came to check one after other but no one found a solution.Felt that they were more concerned to wash dishes so they were hesitant to give out enough spoons etc.Taste wise, (quantity was okay)Chicken tikka ( they called it tandoori chicken) - 3 out of 5Briyani ( more of chicken tomato lemon rice ) - 2 out of 5Veg pulav ( just rice with green peas ) 0 put of 5Goat curry - 3.5 out of 5Chicken baltti - 3.5 out of 5.To cover the fault of chicken they added extra 2 gulab jamun buttttt , it was the worst we have ever had.Over all 3 out of 5.

Ordered food from here off uber eats. The restraunt were not using uber drivers so one of the staff were doing deliveries. I waited for my order for it to be delievered to my neighbour. The driver did not ask for any details regarding the order instructions. The food was delievered to a completely different address to the one provided. I contacted the restraunt regarding my order asking if he could call the driver to see how far away he was. When i explained the situation, the person talking back to me was trying to make out like i was lying until i said i will giving a poor review and sharing the experience. I will not be doing any food deliveries from here again and think i will travel to Te Puke the next time i feel like curry.

On New year was in Rotorua for my holidays. Found this restaurant was fully packed. But Front Stafff organized a table for us. Owner of the restaurant was so polite and helped us to select the best dishes. Loved this place . Definitely recommend .Now you are in our list whenever in Rotorua.
