This is a real slice of heaven...birds allover, nice patches of green within the paddocks where donkeys and horses, sheep and goats are enjoying your presence too. Ducks and chicken stroll around, pukekos and herons are daily visitors. You want relax in the hot spa, while gazing at the stars? You want to see port Waikato? Weathertop? Scenic drive on highway 22? It is all at the doorstep" . Wonderfull hosts

I had the pleasure of staying here for a month during the Covid-19 pandemic. What a great place to be locked down, with amazing views and hosts that bent over backwards to make my stay a fantastic one. Working from home with such a scenic backdrop was an amazing experience. Highly recommend - and thank you so much!

Host has no concern for guest's safety and is more interest in showing off his big dog. When we arrived at the location, we were quite frightened by a loose big dog that came outside until the road. We were so afraid we didn't even get out of the car. Dog was followed by the host who then indicated the direction for us to head inside. After getting out of the car the dog was still playing next to us and even though I explicitly stated my husband is afraid of dogs and he was carrying my infant daughter in his hand ,the host didn't move a muscle to leash or send his dog away. The dog then went near my husband and even climbed up a step to reach my baby's level. As this happened my heart skipped several beats and I was completely panicking however host was busy describing the friendliness of his dog and how well trained the dog was. Although thankfully nothing happened to us I think this is a very nightmarish experience instead of the warm welcome people expect at a property. Apart from this, the stony long driveway at this property is such a kill joy as its a tripping hazard and pokes you through your shoes making it incredibly hard to walk anywhere from the door of the property to the farm animals. The house itself is tiny and self contained but becomes a hot oven at night because the placement of the air conditioner is so far away from the bedroom. The queen bed is quite uncomfortable. The views and farm animals are good (that's nature's work) but otherwise nothing spectacular at this place. The host definitely needs improvement in how he treats his guests and should refrain from doing things which leave a bitter aftertaste to people who come visit his property. He should also realize the value of a good review when he gets it and not bite the hand that feeds him.The tone" of this review reflects the wholesome experience we had at the farmstay as we believe the host is someone who wants the complete picture of how we felt during the entire stay. And he cannot deny that all of the above stated is completely and absolutely the truth."

Anke and Alex's beautiful farmstay truly exceeded expectations. The cottage is tranquil and very well equipped. Our kids loved riding Diablo the horse, feeding the animals and playing with the friendly dogs. Thank you! We look forward to our next visit.

Great Country escape which is close to Auckland but feels like it's hours away. The cottage is perfect as a home away from home and very peaceful. Alex, Anka & family made us very welcome & our kids (11 & 13) loved looking around the small farm & meeting the animals. We'll definitely be back.
