Heartland Bank

Very poor service. They say you can get approval on line, but then someone with limited English ability contacts you and asks further questions. That's ok, except every time this person took over a week to reply, before asking another question. After a few weeks they don't respond at all. There are certainly easier banks to deal with, so that's what I did.

Absolute trash!!! Am in the process of opening a term deposit with Heartland. They were quick with comms in the setup of it but once I transferred my money over, it’s been almost two weeks and I still don’t see my account setup. No one replies to my emails anymore and every time I call I get “it’ll be setup by the end of today” and that was within the first week!!! Am waiting for someone to return my call so I can get my money back!! Useless service!!!!!!!!!

Reading these online reviews, Heartland Bank customers have either given 5 star or 1 star? I've had a great experience to date and found them easy to deal with and prompt service.

They're awesome when you don't want to do anything. The moment you do though, look out!I got so feed up with being given the run around, I requested a settlement figure in the app for the next day. I transferred the funds straight away knowing they'd not be credited till the next day.They either screwed up the settlement amount or added interest to nothing because I have a loan balance of $1.33.This is pure comedy when you consider banks have a level of accuracy and accountability.Don't put your money with them or borrow from them, either.

Absolutely terrible service. Very difficult to get in contact with anyone. I left messages for call backs and sent online chat messages. Currently 10+ days and still waiting for a reply. Will never use this bank again and will be closing my account asap.

If I could give a zero star that would be better. They don't deserve one star at all. They overcharged my loan with ridiculous amounts without contacting me first. I had about $98 left for my last payment and these clowns took $198 instead. Not only they stole my money they had no contact other than then some dodgy address that you can't come and see them in person. Please stay away from these people they are the worst in New Zealand. Cannot wait to get rid of them.

Great experience while using saving products. Bit slow compare to normal banks with transferring funds in/out but other than this no complains.

If I have the option for less than 1 STAR rating than I would choose that. I have found online loan application process is one of the most poor service as well as time wasting. No customer service support available at all. Completely misleading! I personally won't recommend this bank to anyone.

Hopeless.I had a personal loan with them that I paid off 1 1/2 weeks ago.I was told to call back in a week to get my 2 vehicles released as there was a stand down period.Called this past Monday and was told yes no worries the vehicles will be released.Tuesday still ' money owing ' on 1 of the vehicles I'm selling.Emailed them on Tuesday to ask them what had happened still reply back on Thursday.Called them again today to say what is going why have my vehicles not been released yet.Young lady said it will be done today as it hadn't been done on Monday and so far still ' money owing ' on my TM account.TM said it's the responsibility of the party who had the security, Heartland don't respond to emails and can't do a simple thing on there end when a spoken to twice so far.Avoid, I'll be sure to let everyone I know not to use these amateurs.

Very poor lenders. I had and business loan with them and repaid it in full without any defaults. Got into trouble as most people did through Covid and needed some money to clear some bills. Me thinking I had and good relationship with heartland I could rely on them to help me out but no! Straight out no. Thanks for nothing!.
